So the United Rugby Championship is underway, with totally new graphics, and while there are some nice ideas (team sheets look nice), there’s some unusual fonts and a weirdly positioned scorebar in the bottom centre of the screen (that could be the SuperSport influence, since these are the first graphics developed since SA joined the competition).

I do like the animations with the logo splitting in two, but agree the positioning at least of the scoreboard is very odd.

Two presenting set ups tonight too - on Premier 1 for Ulster v Glasgow, Graham Little is on site at Ravenhill, while Premier 2’s double header (Zebre v Golden Lions / Cardiff v Connacht) is presented by Ross Harries from the old eir Sport studio in Dublin.
Premier certainly seem to be putting good resources into the opening night at least, as I’m surprise the Zebre game wasn’t simply whistle to whistle.
Scorebar: didn't twig the SuperSport connection - it seemed very NFL/ESPN influenced to me.
Couple of things of interest: no bonus point indicator or try count
The yellow card flag is generated seperately as it didn't wipe off when Zebre scored with the rest of the bug
No timing indicator on the Yellow card bug.
I like the fonts and it will be interesting to see if the versions used on S4C will be translated.
Not sure on the logo - you have to know it is supposed to say URC to read it as such - it reads more as LGCJ to me.
The URC app on Google Play has been updated with a new UI along with links provided for URC TV Pro, URC Predictor & URC Fantasy League.
I have to hand it to the URC, they’ve created a look that’s very unique and won’t be confused with any other competition - when you see a match, you’ll know it’s a URC game instantly! The downside of going so unique is that there’s a lot of custom font usage that is very unusual and non traditional. Not sure I’ll get used to that scorebar placement although bottom scorebars aren’t new in rugby (SuperSport most obviously, but also BT and before them ESPN U.K.).
One thing that seems to be missing from the package is official opening titles, though both Premier Sports and TG4 have new opening titles which, though quite different from each other, both incorporate heavy URC branding.
The supplementary text on the kicker graphic, such as "1st kick of game, distance 19m" etc - is far too small.

Some poor world feed graphics for the Ryder Cup with basic animations pretty poor, it’s not even in 4k, the upside though is no adverts!

Sky/NBC been collabing for a while for big tournaments since the Comcast take over. Golf Channel taken in the past "Live from the range" type programmes for 1-2 hrs before things like the Tour Championship etc (with SS & Golf branded mics by sky presenters). We've got the hours on end GC coverage for days leading up to big US tournaments. Felt a bit below par it was all Golf Channel programming with odd Sky insert for even the opening ceremony and build up to day 1 up to about 20 mins before first tee.
Amusingly, it looks like the BBC have had to take the iPlayer version of the Emma Raducanu programme down, or were never allowed to archive it in the first place ('not available' in the TV guide and a broken link from the tennis page). They did include it in the live BBC TWO stream when it went out though (with generic BBC tennis titles, w/o any lower thirds).

I wouldn’t have said ESPN influenced at all - if there is any NFL influence, it would probably be Fox Sports whose current scorebar is in a similar position (and also does the “+6” thing after a score).
The Ulster match had a BP indicator but no try count.

It's now got a 30-minute 3:15pm slot on BBC Two, without a thumbnail (but it's definitely still actually happening at 12:30pm). From what I've been able to glean, it's very much an LTA organised thing, so whether there will even be a BBC presenter or not, or any BBC Sport branding, or how much of the US Open footage they'll be able to show, who knows… The LTA site says there will be "a live Q&A and a host of tennis activities" (i.e. it might be awful…)
They're right in the middle of launching their latest campaign for kids, so I suspect it'll be more a behind closed doors event pitched at that, than "here's Emma Raducanu on an open topped bus" etc.
You were right about the format, but it was very well put together. Clare Balding interviewed Emma Raducanu, Joe Salisbury, Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett chat-show style on a small stage in front of an audience of kids. Radzi Chinyanganya helped with getting the questions from the kids and presented a live feature towards the end of the programme. There was some US Open footage included credited to Prime Video.
The whole thing appeared to be produced by the LTA, rather than the BBC, and was just one part of a whole day of activities at the NTC
