Minimum of two laps and if it doesn't get to 75% distance, half points are awarded.
Rule probably dates from a time where reliability was more of a thing than it is now. These days you have to rely more on human error than mechanical failure.

None of them have ever been as bad as today's race. If the minimum was 10 laps, all of the others would've still counted. And apparently the result is after only ONE lap. So, it shouldn't have counted anyway, they're using a loophole.

I think that may have been countback. I'm not well up on the F1 rules and regulations, but I know there is a thing such as countback in the event of red flags and accidents and whatever else, but I'm not wading through a couple of hundred pages of rules and regulations just to have the debate with your good self.
Of course I dare say most sports have a catch-all clause in their rules along the lines of some big cheese somewhere physically present will have the final say in a situation that said rules do not explicitly cover.

Right before the Katie Taylor fight on Saturday too. Impeccable timing. Though €7.99 is still a lot cheaper than a boxing PPV on Sky Box Office even if you’re only interested in the odd fight. I’ve noticed that DAZN have been running a big media campaign (both TV and outdoor) recently too.
I don’t know what was wrong with all the big boxing on sky sports, now people will have to subscribe to yet another platform.
Was inevitable DAZN would raise their prices but a bit cheeky to do so before they even really get started. As for "no plans for PPV" no doubt that is until they have plans for PPV, though IIRC Sky/BT Box Office retain some of the higher profile fights.

The dress code is awful. Not a tie in sight. Most of the presenters are wearing trainers or jeans. You've heard of '8 out of 10 cats does Countdown'.. This is 'The Only Way is Essex does Sky Sports News.' :o
The male presenter just interviewed Jobi McAnuff in the soft area.. ten minutes later the female presenter interviews him in the same location. Now all three of them are at the main desk chatting.
I think I've counted around ten presenting locations at the studios and not sure if any one of them adds anything to the story.

Ooh the us open is on Amazon prime I was wondering where that was, I was looking at Eurosport, prime video sport dosent look too bad considering it’s streaming maybe I finally fixed the issue with it never working for me

I do agree, Sky Sports News has been poor for a while now, its been going downhill since their big Rebrand in 2017, and probably ever since Murdoch sold the company has just been unwatchable for large periods.
I watched most of the SSN 'Deadline Day' coverage and really enjoyed it. I like to see different presentation points and it was great to see them having double-headed presentation back on screen too!
Yeah, I thought it was pretty good this time around compared to recent years, nice use of Sky's football studio as well. And thankfully not a yellow tie in sight.
The layout of Amazon Prime's webpage for tennis is still a real mess. I think their biggest problem right now is that they're not making the main, studio coverage nearly prominent enough - unless you already know where to look it's easy to lose it and end up on a court feed instead, indeed, if you click on certain banners you're taking to a page which only shows individual matches, not the main feed. We never get audience figures for Amazon, but I suspect the figures for the various streams are being distorted by confusing design.
They're (i.e. IMG) pretty good when it comes to updating the schedule and making replays available, and the reliability and technical quality of the streams has been pretty good, aside from very occasional issues with the lines to New York. Looks like there's maybe only half a second's delay on the return feed in the commentary boxes. Also they've sent more people out there than I was expecting and they're producing some nice stuff on site. (BBC have only got Russell Fuller in NY, with everyone else in Salford, partly I think so he can provide the correct ambient sound for the various courts).
I find it easier now than I did initially, and the picture quality so much better now than a couple of years ago. Agree though it can be confusing if you don't know what you're looking for.
