Sky is the host broadcaster I believe.

Those are horrific, among the most garish sports graphics I’ve ever seen. Trying to think off hand of something more garish. Some of the luminous green stuff ESPN has done for Monday Night Football possibly.

(Fully prepared for it to be outdone though by the United Rugby Championship though if what we’ve seen so far of their house style translates over to match graphics).

Sky's Darts coverage is irritating me. Multiple stuck/dead pixels on at least two cameras that can't be unseen once you spot them.

Seems Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga is leaving BT Sport in the UK/Ireland to a new broadcaster. The informed talk is that it will be announced this week and the 2. Bundesliga begins on Friday night.

Personally can't quite see why Sky would actually want to bother with Bundesliga - they already have plenty of football to cover Friday nights, Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons so it would possibly be relegated away from SS Football to Action/Arena/Mix presumably. Also, withthe blackout probably returning there is reduced value in the contract anyway. On the other hand, Sky Germany are the main rights holder in Germany (and DAZN have the other rights....)

From what I can see, there is no deal for Serie A rights in the UK for this season yet either, wouldn't be surprised if BT would like that to complement Ligue 1 but who knows...

Seems a bit odd - wonder if BT just lost out or deliberately scaling back. As said it seems wasted on Sky considering they have virtually all football slots covered across the weekend with PL, EFL or SPFL.

Shame after the strong start last night with a good game and record figures BBC Sport are putting 5 of their games on the iplayer rather than on BBC Two.

Does BBC2 have any commitments after the Olympics - can't think of anything they would be showing live. Possible they may promote them - can't see what harm they do on BBC2 in the afternoon if there isn't a more prominent event being shown.

Watched the last few minutes tonight. Forget the colours for a moment - the more I think about it, the more it's as though whoever designed it doesn't actually watch cricket themselves - as I mentioned yesterday, your eyes are constantly having to roam from one side of the screen to the other to figure out what the score is; the full screen scorecard is "ok", though 4s and 6s would be a useful thing to show in this format, but the summary graphic (two large team logos and runs, balls and wickets below each in different rectangles)
is again, a lot more effort to read than it ought to be.

And of course the team names in the logos are impossible to read as well.

I'm intrigued if there will be pressure to make changes in the coming weeks, or it will have to wait until next year.
