Thankfully indeed. What is the general rules for matches that go the distance in the FA Cup that are 12:30 kick-offs like the Gold Medal Match? I'm sure it must have happened quite a few times and can't recall hearing anything being cut off.
The Sandhausen-Leipzig match from the DFB-Pokal is currently live on OneFootball despite the blackout as well (1430 K.O.). Perhaps it might be fine here in Wales but not in England but doubt it. If anyone wants to check:

Very bizarre, on air they’re still using the same graphics from the last time they had the rights.
The Blackout only applies to games under UEFA and its member associations - so the Olympics doesn't get affected by it (UEFA have no control on anything outside Europe).
Even if it does come under a member FA, it excludes:
a. Matches involving the senior national representative team.
b. Other matches, which, according to national government regulation, are considered to be of a kind which requires transmission live on free TV.
c. Any other match of national importance.
Even if caught (which it isn't), I guess the Olympics would come under b.
If any of the above are scheduled, then the regulations don't apply to any games.
The regulations only apply to "intentional transmissions", which is the get out for extra time and delayed games, e.g. long injury times.
So in theory they could show club matches from outside of Europe in the slot, though time zones makes it unlikely.

Must say I’m let down by ITV using that same old tired scoreboard and graphics set for the Community Shield, I was expecting a similar design to what they teased during the Euros. However they’re likely saving that for their first FA Cup game?
However, just to contradict myself, I can see why they might keep this scoreboard design as it’s not necessarily ugly or hard to read, just would like a new refreshed look
That ITV scorebug is fugly. Looks cheap.
ITV Sport long overdue a refresh of its generic sports look too which the Euro look could easily be expanded across.

Since at least 2013 it seems. The fact the interview with Vardy posted online featured the Euros graphics, makes me think they’re saving them for the start of FA Cup coverage or they weren’t quite ready for today.
Perhaps they realised they didn’t have anything prepared for potential penalties or something.
So Sky Sports' last rugby union production for the forseeable future is coming to an end...
Quite possibly a definitive end of an era.
Of course, they have the Rugby Championship for a few months (today used the Sky NZ comms and studio) and there's no rightsholder for the Autumn so there is a chance of more but for now it looks like the end.

2013 makes sense, as a new package would've been required that year due to the new ITV logo. Of course ITV News last updated then too.

Well 2013 certainly matches the description ITV Hub is currently giving the match.

Africa would be the same time zone - but not a popular place to source football from.
The regulations state "transmission of football" - nothing about live or not.
