Premier Sports did finally publish their list of 3pm FAPL fixtures today, so it looks like the ROI rights were rolled over just like the U.K. rights (which given how closely connected the other packages are, was probably the only fair approach to take).

Also at this stage, though no announcement, it can also be assumed that Sky’s wholesale deals with BT and Premier Sports, giving them entire control of both channels wholesale rights in the ROI market (in other words other providers such as Vodafone and Virgin have to deal with Sky rather than directly with BT/Premier) have now been extended; previous deals with BT at any rate have been tied to Premier League rights cycles. I can’t think that WBD will want to be tied into a deal which effectively prohibits it from retailing BT Sport or it’s successor direct to consumer in Ireland for that long, but let’s see what happens.

Not an ounce of info about what’s happening to Premier Sports in Ireland after the takeover of the U.K. operations by Viaplay, incidentally. It’s all quiet on that front. Id have thought they’d have come as a package given the tight integration but no mainstream Irish media outlet even picked up the story of the deal being done (one newspaper reported on it before the deal was done).
They've added an extra 10 minutes build up to the Euros final on Sunday with coverage now starting at 3.50pm rather than 4pm. Can't really see how an extra 10 minutes to an hour long build up makes much difference really.

Would have been nice in those 10 years for them to re-upload this with correct audio.

I'm assuming they wanted to start earlier but didn't want to change cahnnel halfway through a Commonwealth Games event (the Traithlon mixed relay is at 14:31 which might be what they are delaying it for). It gives them 60 minutes total build-up before the anthems now but apart from that I agree it's neither her nor there. I was surprised Tuesday only got 30 minutes build-up but not many people outsode the broadcasters themselves are super keen on having eons of studio talk.

Sticking with the Euros, this was a really lovely moment in last night's coverage, great work from the BBC to arrange it and for Gabby as well.

And the official intro, the Euro 2008 music still going strong, outliving ITV's use of Bittersweet Symphony from the same year now

It's likely the former.

It's neither - as discussed in the next few posts, it was a recording.

The official UEFA titles for the woman’s euros, now that’s a theme tune!

Who would believe that it's 14 year's old.
It’s becoming Uefa’s go to tune, having been adopted in the mens game for the UEFA Super Cup and for international friendlies in recent years.
As the thread I’ve read the most on this site, thanks to everyone who has contributed. It’s a great way to follow developments I may have missed.

Where will everyone be posting from tomorrow?!
Either on TV Talk or Pres Cafe depending on wherever people go.
Yes, this is the thread I'll really miss and thanks to RhysJr, BcastCornwall and dvboy especially for their contributions.
Just to echo the sentiments, I've never posted here but it's always been a great read to keep up to date with things.

Thanks everyone involved.
Soccer Saturday seems to have new logo and animated background, though it’s the same studio.

Edit: and new titles and music too, no longer using the Sky Sports News theme.

Fair enough on that.
