Is it just me or is there a sync issue on the World Seniors Darts on BBC Sport Online?

Not been the greatest of starts, sound issues at the start, syncing issues and feed was lost

Sorry, but I don't get the point. The bloke has Covid and has had to isolate, end of.

Maybe Alex Scott for Saturday as opposed to Dan Walker?

Chappers is doing both live games, Manish both highlights shows.
According to Channel 4 tv guide from their own website
Adam Hills is down to present coverage of Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves on the 12th February with Leon Pryce & Sam Tomkins providing punditry, no word on commentary.

New scoreboard on the World Seniors Darts tonight, looks a bit more professional than the previous effort. Plus a microphone has been placed on/near the board so that we can hear the darts landing.

(and as I type that the scoreboard has disappeared!)

ITV have long used some of the BT Sport comms team for their 6-Nations - Ben Kay & Nick Mullins being the obvious two.

An absolute breath of fresh air compared with the BBC's stale rugby coverage in recent years.
Temporary fault caption during the World Seniors Darts Championships a few moments ago. I like the refreshed scoreboard, it's much clearer than what it was last night.

Apologies for the crummy quality, image taken from my phone...

The frozen picture stayed on for a few seconds before this slide came up.

Slightly unrelated, but I find that hexagonal background they use slightly nauseating at times.
Same graphics as previous years on all three Under 20 Six Nations matches, so tomorrow at the earliest that any potential new graphics package is revealed to the wider world. All three matches on BBC iPlayer with commentary (and Ireland v. Wales also on S4C with Welsh and seperate English commentary). Ulster v. Connacht on BBC Two NI means that there are four rugby matches currently live at the same time on BBC iPlayer!
If no changes today suspect there won't be any tomorrow. This is quite an old package now isn't it as it was used I think for the UK coverage in the last year of the BBC only deal in 2015, but pre-dated that by a year or two internationally so is actually around a decade old. That said though it still looks better than both the packages that were introduced for the Autumn Nations Cup and the Autumn Internationals.
2014 internationally, but with a different font to later years.

I did like the 2020 Autumn Nations Cup graphics, which were also used for 2021 summer games, but the 2021 Autumn Series package was rubbish.

VMTV in Ireland have a completely new open for their coverage, though with the same music as before. RTE seem to be using the same open as they have been for a couple of years now (at least for the U20s), would be nice if they brought Fighting 17th (Theme from Backdraft) back for the senior match tomorrow.

It seems VMTV’s coverage of Scotland v England U20s has been bumped to VM Sport, the now little used sports channel set up for their now lost Champions League rights, only available to VM cable customers. Though given the two other rugby games being shown FTA tonight I doubt many will care, though this was supposed to be FTA deal. (VM Three, not usually used for sport, is unusually carrying darts coverage, the PDC World Senior Championship ). France v Italy U20 is on the RTE Player.
The RTÉ Guide in Ireland has a joint feature interview with Jamie Heaslip & Alan Quinlan about their favourite matches being talked about within the new Six Nations rights agreement with RTÉ & Virgin Media Ireland.

I'm guessing from Jamie Heaslip's pov; he is not able to provide any analysis & commentary for any of Ireland's games on the BBC's Six Nations coverage anymore. He is doing coverage with RTÉ from this year onwards.
There was a scoreboard fault on the Ireland U-20's Vs Wales U-20's match. It has returned on the screen now.

Looking at the current score I hope there is a fault. Big Grin

All games kicking off the same time tonight but that's not the case throughout, though still most on Friday nights except the last day which are staggered kick-offs the Sunday after the main event finishes. All three on BBC iPlayer but they haven't picked one for the red button. No coverage on BBC2 Wales either - just S4C.

Looks like Guscott has gone too from BBC coverage (about time - even before they split rights with ITV he was very much the last 90s relic left in the team), though the Mirror article is full of inaccuracies, stating he was the lead presenter and Gabby Logan replaces him.
