Pretty sure they showed some live England t20 matches last year. And it was only The Hundred, that they missed out on.
Yes as Jon said BBC One showed England v Pakistan on Sunday 30 August 2020 followed by England v Australia a week later on Sunday 6 September 2020 and they also showed England Women v West Indies Women last year live as well in late September on BBC Two and the games on BBC One peaked at 4.2 million so well worth the coverage but felt last night one was a bit lost in the Euros and little advertising from BBC, think the weekend afternoon slot suits them best.
This year BBC will be adding an extra Women's International T20 as well

That would make it the very 1st time that a Lions match has been broadcast live on VM Ireland. On other occasions in the past, before Sky took the exclusive rights up until this year, it was broadcast on RTÉ.

Very late deal indeed, only announced last night. In fairness, most of the target audience for the Lions probably would have access to Channel 4, but this gives it a terrestrial outlet in Ireland for the first time since the 1990s (and a VOD/steaming outlet since rugby is one of the few things still blocked on All4 in Ireland, and you can’t live stream on All4 in Ireland, with live streaming of C4 and its sister channels only available via pay TV company apps).
Are we at a point now where the only real reason to subscribe to the Sky F1 channel, is the actual live coverage of the race itself? I was poking around on their YouTube page and most of the key programmes/segments/inserts/whatever you want to call them they've done over the years are there.. The only stuff that isn't there is the actual race coverage, but the highlights (and presumably in a few years time a full rerun) are all on the Formula 1 YouTube channel - even the qualifying gets a full rerun on Sky One.
Is it really worth £18 a month or whatever it is for 90 minutes worth of live action once or twice a month? Or am I missing something? It seems to me that if they're going to put Ted Notebook, the tribute segment they did to Murray Walker and all the other key important stuff on YouTube, then what's the point of the main broadcast channel after the winner crosses the finish line?
The same thing happens with the pay per view boxing - shell out £20 one night then the next day they're sticking it on their Youtube channel, presumably playing those who'd upload it anyway at their own game.

I really doubt anyone really subscribes to Sky Sports F1 for Ted’s Notebook or any of the other surrounding programming. It’s always been sold on the basis it’s the exclusive home of half and now nearly all of the live races (and other sessions). Anything else they show is just bonus content but not subscription driving.
If anything if they can have a popular free platform for this extra content, it just increases awareness for the live races that SSF1 offers.
Interesting developments about C4F1, Billy Monger has tested positive for Covid prompting both Alex Jacques and Steve Jones to isolate in Austria. Looks like Ben Edwards is stepping in from Biggin Hill to commentate with David Coulthard being lead presenter as Lee McKenzie is doing rugby and Wimbledon

According to the DS Rating Thread
England v Sri Lanka T20 International last night on BBC Two peaked with 1.8 million at 9pm which is not a bad figure at all for a midweek game with very little publicity. Only heard it mentioned a couple of times on Euros Coverage and seen no no adverts between programmes. I would expect the Sunday afternoon game later in the summer on BBC One to have a much higher rating too.

Odd seeing that “A” international in there, they’ve practically become an endangered species in rugby these days (Ireland “A” hasn’t played a game in six years).
Whilst the on-screen clock is very much BBC Sport circa 2020 the full screen start list and results graphics are very much Grandstand late-90s.
Meanwhile the U20 Six Nations seems to have not been on the BBC Sport website again despite the announcement the tournament would be. Youtube feed is decent enough with post-match interviews too although at half time in the Wales v Ireland match they kept playing the same clip with the same commentary over and over again over another commentary with an additional Welsh commentary thrown in for good measure.

Whilst some sources say that the non-Welsh matches were today supposed to be on BBC iPlayer and S4C Clic, the
original S4C press release says that rounds 2-4 are on S4C Clic with 1 & 5 on iPlayer. The
Six Nations article displaying today's coverage backs this up. The two non-Welsh matches were on Clic/S4C social media. Rather unusually, the entire S4C broadcast of Wales v. Ireland
was also on YouTube.

Minor problem with that clock was that it did clash with the British Athletics DOG on my computer. Otherwise from the bits I've seen it was decent enough coverage.
Channel 4 graphics (minus C4 logo) in use on VMTV for Lions v Japan, John Forrest/Niamh Briggs on commentary. First time I’ve seen C4 supply the world feed graphics for any sporting event (not saying they haven’t done so in the past).
