RTÉ2 have the Ireland v USA rugby match with coverage beginning at 6:30pm next Saturday. Interestingly from RTÉ Entertainment & the Saorview website it says Jacqui Hurley will be the host for this match (although I thought it was with Daire O'Brien) with Eddie O'Sullivan, Jamie Heaslip & Stephen Ferris for analysis with Hugh Cahill & Donal Lenihan for commentary.
To return to the series of large/uneccesary DOGs in sports covearge:

What on earth has happened to this one on the Channel 4 Sport twitter clips of the rugby? Large is an understatement and it is nowhere near the corner of the picture either.

Less intrusive, but pointless neverthless, is the #bbcathletics DOG in the top left corner of the Diamond League coverage. There's no interaction as part of the show (they're just using the world feed comms) and it means when watching on iPlayer three of the four corners have graphics in them most of the time.

She did Ireland v Japan yesterday.
RhysJR post_id=25632 time= user_id=1340 Wrote:S4C have bespoke graphics, certainly the team sheets look a bit like the graphics style of the Lions social media graphics etc. They have "LION" for Sigma Lions and "LLEW" for B&I Lions. They're also presenting from the big screen in the concourse of the BBC Wales HQ.

The Lions YouTube had special graphics on their highlights last week, not the Channel 4/World Feed graphics. These are not what S4C are using though.

Just to complete things, VMTV used SuperSport’s graphics and commentary for their highlights - incidentally SuperSport used slightly different graphics to normal with a different (much classier) font and some other design differences, though in their normal colours and positions. Their typically giant scorebar used “Lions” and “British and Irish Lions” for the two teams.
One B&I lions game is off, due to a Covid outbreak, that being on Saturday. This also puts the Friday evening South Africa v Georgia match into doubt. So, Sky Sports likely to have archive rugby to show, though that isn't confirmed yet.

As well as the main coverage on BT Sport 1/Ultimate, there will be a live audio described version on BT Sport 3 and a live signed version on the red button.

South Africa v Georgia has since been cancelled

However it’s now being reported that today’s Sharks v Lions game will - *if* it goes ahead - revert to the original 7pm KO time (from which it was moved to avoid a clash with England v Denmark). However it appears there’s a strong possibility of the game being cancelled altogether - reports of a Covid case in the Lions camp.
Would surely make sense now for tonight's Lions game to be postponed until Saturday to allow a period of retesting.

Natal Sharks play the Golden Lions in the Currie Cup on Saturday.

Has to be doubts over whether this tour can continue in the current situation. South Africa “A” next Wednesday would involve players on the Springboks panel and that game surely also will end up cancelled.
Lions match going ahead at 7:00pm
I think the test matches will happen, the question is, just what make up of the squads, and the starting XV will be.
Seems to be Biggar and most the backs out. Ultimately it is the Tests that matter and all decisions will be about protecting those. Assuming isolation requirements are the same in SA if they've contained it (in both camps) the test series should be fine.
Frustrating that having been pulled from BBC1 on Monday that the repeat of Gold Rush tonight has now been pulled in favour of an immediate rerun of tonight's game straight after the highlights.

Gold Rush will be repeated at 8 pm on Thursday on BBC1.

Indeed - the repeat was dropped from its very late slot last night so it can have another outing in primetime after it was rather overshadowed on Monday. Of course, the replay of the match was already scheduled.
