Feels very low key presentation. In the past UK Diamond League meets would get Gabby Logan, 2 pundits, interviewer, BBC's own commentary. Last year all the Diamond League meets that were on BBC1 and BBC2 had Gabby Logan and either Colin Jackson or Denise Lewis before and after taking the world feed commentary.
That being said, the most important aspect is the coverage being on the BBC, and on BBC2
The massive and unnecessary #bbcathletics DOG makes it look like a webstream too - it is so out of place considering how small the official graphics are. They might get away with it if it was half the size, but really it is something that should never appear on live broadcast BBC Sport coverage. It's bad enough in the studio segments.
First of three WTA grass court events, Nottingham, is missing from Eurosport's listings in the week it should be there.
I understand Eurosport have not renewed it, along with Birmingham and Eastbourne, and an announcement of a new broadcaster will be made.
Amazon Prime Video have the ATP events at Queen's and Eastbourne, and the BBC have secondary rights to the ATP at Queen's and WTA at Eastbourne.

Tonight's event was originally due to be in Rabat, Morocco but got moved around a month ago due to travel restrictions. Guess that along with how BBC Sport was quite busy with football etc. today probably contributed to that.

Interesting snippet, that the Premier League are preparing for All matches to be Televised again in August and September, apparently they are by no means certain that stadia will be anywhere full for the very start of the 2021-2 season. Seems appropriate contingency planning even if it isn’t needed.

According to their own website, Prime Video have added WTA at Eastbourne alongside their ATP coverage.
No news on Nottingham or Birmingham yet.

Happened to come across this on the BT Sport Extra channels on Sunday. Basically going around the grounds with commentators showing the incidents from all the games (a la BT Sport UCL Goals Show if I'm not mistaken (and I think the PL do a similar feed)). I thought it worked quite well and would hope to see similar project seen on a more regular basis because it was great to be able to keep up with all the action and permutations (especially as someone who doesn't follow French football extremely closely and/or doesn't follow any particluar team).

From what I've heard/seen the German equivalent, Konferenz, is also quite popular. I would like to see something similar become available here where possible in future I think.
Depends what time any block of matches are played I guess as I suspect the Sarurday 3pm blackout will come back into force next season.

Agree with all points there. That would be the optimum time to do it. I have seen some critiscm in the past for the FA Cup Final Score shows in the early rounds in the past. I appreciate those programmes try to keep to the style of the Saturday show (with studio and reporters rather than commentators like Multiplex) but maybe this style of format would be better. More action would end up being shown and it felt a lot more action-packed and drama filled than those shows can do.

There is the Multigoal on LaLigaTV which is basically the same format, though LaLiga did their “all matches kick off at the same time” on the penultimate day rather than the last one.
It would be great to see it for the Premier League, though I suspect Sky don’t want it because it might kill Soccer Saturday (though that’s suffered death by a thousand cuts anyway this season through a combination of the effects of Covid meaning most Premier League games are no longer at 3pm and Sky’s own actions in replacing the majority of the long standing panel).
Unrelated possible rights news - Premier Sports 2 online schedule for this weekend is showing several French Top14 rugby games in it. These games aren’t appearing on the Sky EPG and there’s been no announcement so I’m not sure if this is indicative of a pick up but it would be nice to see the French league back on TV after a bit of a gap (though I think TV5 traditionally broadcasts the play offs anyway, albeit with French commentary).
