I'm sure the potential slot for the replay would have been known in advance, so I wonder why they'd have scheduled the first of a new series there if there was a reasonable chance of it being bumped.
The reason for this is because they weren't intending to show the replay live at all, in that contract BSB had the rights to live replays and the Beeb had highlights. However, the previous Sunday had been the first time both FA Cup semi-finals were broadcast live on TV, with the Beeb showing them back to back - and they were both absolutely brilliant matches that ended 4-3 and 3-3 respectively and it was heralded as the most exciting day of live sport ever (the Beeb also had Nick Faldo winning the US Masters in dramatic fashion that evening as well), and it's since been cited as a major landmark on the road back to football being the number one sport, along with Arsenal winning the league in 1989 and of course the 1990 World Cup.
So after all that, the replay would have been live on BSB alone which had only been on air for two weeks and nobody had it, and the Beeb would only have had highlights. But because the original tie was so high-profile and due to public demand, it was agreed the Beeb could show it live as well. That was the first time an FA Cup semi-final replay was shown live on FTA TV, and in fact the last time as well.

If the delay is agreed I'd kind of hope the Wales match is also delayed so both teams in the play off final have the same momentum of having won a game a few days earlier. Apparently Poland will just get a by but it’s not been officially confirmed.
For the Women’s Euro’s a draw of teams who lost out in the later stages looks likely rather than just giving Portugal (beaten by Russia in a play off) the place but not yet officially confirmed.
Of course CAS could mess all this up and could make it very tricky to resolve. One of the things the Russian Football Union is asking CAS to consider doing is suspending all tournaments featuring Russian teams. This includes the Europa League. I can’t see that happening but CAS have gone against widespread public opinion many times in their history.

I’m not sure it’s been mentioned but the Women’s Six Nations - or rather now I guess, the W6N - has a brand new identity. Presumably new TV graphics too. Between this and the Autumn Nations it seems to prove Six Nations Rugby can do contemporary yet the mens senior championship seems still stuck somewhere in the late 2000s in terms of its identity.

I can’t believe it but wow what an amazing cricketer he was, was always mesmerised by what he could do with that cricket ball in his hands, very sad news.
