The job ads for the 'pilots' said that the intention was to switch between pilots every 30 minutes, presumably alternating between the two galleries, with one pilot preparing the next 30 minutes whilst the other is on-air.
Are there definitely 2 galleries? I tried to determine this a few posts back. It might explain the occasional "flicker" on the vision and sound (presumably when the network switch happens). I just don't understand why, if you're going to the effort of installing 2 separate galleries with all the associated kit, you wouldn't segregate the studios areas into 2 too.

No. I read the original ad to mean sitting somewhere in the newsroom building the running order. (Also I think we can safely say things have changed massively since they wrote the job descriptions.) In reality I suspect a lot of the rest of the role is communicating with the reporters and setting up zoom interviews etc.
More on the sound (my area of expertise, if you've seen my previous posts in this thread)... I've heard on two occasions today where audio has been "ducked" during a debate when someone starts speaking. This sounds like it's being done automatically by the sound desk (or more likely some other hardware/software in the chain, probably before the sound desk). When someone interrupts someone else, the mic of the person being interrupted seems to dip. Given the myriad of other sound issues I can't imagine someone is manually doing that on the desk at the moment someone interrupts.
On Studer sound desks this feature is called Automix and you assign "importance" to individual channels (so you can set the presenter to be more important than the guests, for example) and the desk then detects who is talking and if multiple people are talking at the same time, the channel(s) with the lower importance get dipped to allow the more important channel(s) to burst through louder in the mix.
Also I found out today that one of my BBC director colleagues has handed his notice in this week and is on his way to GB News. Will pump him for more info when I see him!

Earlier this afternoon, when Gloria & Liam were on air, they accidentally went to the wrong camera & showed the breakfast bar area with an empty gallery area behind them... but this same area was busy when Dewbs was on yesterday. So yes, a little confusing as to what is being used when & why.
I saw a few ratings earlier in the thread, but does anyone have access to ratings for all the shows? If so (and if it’s not too much trouble to make the comparison), how did GBN compare to the News Channel and Sky?

The screen in one of the galleries refers to 'CR1' .
Some of these camera switches while people are talking remind me of reality shows, right down to the angles. For example, they just cut from the current guest to Simon and then back to the guest, and for a second I wondered when I changed the channel (until I remembered I was on their website).

It's not a gallery, it's just a duplicate of the multiviewer. (So far I've only ever seen basic computer equipment in that bit.)

I've been in the broadcast systems engineering industry for over 30 years. I know scores of engineers, and know of scores more. I don't know anyone who has worked, or has been asked to work for GB News, and I receive daily texts etc from others asking if I know anyone who's been involved in the channel, because everyone is fascinated (in a bad way) about it.

Yes, I've seen CR1 too. Doesn't necessarily mean there's more than one gallery.
The shots really could do with some back focus (or rather back defocus!) - I'm guessing this isn't available on the PTZ cameras they're using? The people in the background (and the gallery screens) are as in focus as the presenters.
Just seen a man with a handheld camera (maybe a steadicam?) in the background of the guest shot being ushered away by someone (presumably because he was in shot). Maybe a behind the scenes documentary crew?
