I think it's fair enough in the first week(s) to introduce the GB News family by appearing on each other's shows

Daisy’s not a presenter though (tho I bet she’ll stand in, given her obvious connection to the channel)

A lot of clipping on a video call on Guto Harri's show.

I've given its a week, there are better Internet news sources, it's kack, no painful to watch . Channel deleted.

Is this thread going to reach 200 pages by 19:59:59 tonight (exactly a week since the channel's launch) ?

My cynical take would be that whoever started the Twitter account was simply too lazy to carry on with it.

(I also imagine, if they haven't already, someone will start a conspiracy theory that many of the mistakes were deliberate.)

If they were trolling, fair play!

I'd push for Isabel to swap roles with Mercy Muroki. Isabel and Colin have worked together before and are more likely to have decent chemistry, unlike Colin and Mercy. Also, I think that Mercy would work better on her own instead of on a double-headed show.

Can we assume that Isabel didn't want a long working week? I'm sure if she did, they would have offered her any weekday slot she wanted.

A reasonable week a lot could be better but did exactly what Andrew neil said it would do and there’s no harm in that

Not quite I'm afraid.

The channel for me (technical issues aside) has been quite good.


McCoy and Phillips seems like an all-round good programme and Alastair Stewart's programme showed how outstanding he still is.

The channel does need some sort of news update though at set times though.

I wonder how late these newer programmes were added (Political Correction, Saturday Morning UK, Sunday Night Live) because none of them have proper thumbnails on the app or EPGs so must've been late additions. Especially with Farage, there are no photographs of him on the website and he wasn't there at launch. There doesn't seem to be any reason for them not be there/not be present in teasers unless they were finalised at the last minute.

Yes, probably the sort of thing someone started that then became a bit too big and ended up taking up too much time

The hashtag will continue even if the account doesn't. Of course all the GB News Fails have probably got it far more publicity than had it all gone without a hitch.

It is very rare, if ever, you see the news presenters of other channels interviewed, especially for their views on the news itself - and for good reason. BBC and Sky to my knowledge won't even use their own correspondents to review the papers, and The Pledge for example to my knowledge always had people from outside of Sky News.

One of Marr's paper reviewers is always a BBC correspondent.
