Well, Thank God somebody thought of that idea, but the fact that they're having to have it there in the first place really highlights how bad things are right now.

So the lies about providing a local service that two broadcasters who've had regional news in their schedules for over six decades and air nightly bulletins which are amongst the highest rated shows on TV every day came from the very top.
Do they just think if they say it enough it becomes true - a couple of live hits from someone saying what somebody in a pub told them is nowhere near close to what even Sky offer in covering stories across the UK, never mind the BBC and ITV regions.

They certainly need to rip out the audio system and start again, no matter the cost. As other suggested close down over the weekend if required.

Anyone feel they have their most professional pilot/someone else drafted in to direct this? Just the way the interview is being cut seems more professional than the rest of their output.

This is perfectly fine. Not groundbreaking, no different to what Andrew Neil did on the BBC but fine.
Not sure Andrew setting out his view on fiscal policy (which more or less match Sunak’s) before the interview was terribly helpful in terms of setting it up but otherwise this is fine.
Who thought a black background would be a good idea, particularly for a set which is due to host a lot of politicians in dark suits?
