The fun is certainly missing from Breakfast currently.

Not quite what happened. He questioned BLM protesting in the middle of Lockdown 1. Some talent from Capital xTra went crying to Ashley Tabor. His contract then wasn't renewed.

'' went crying''

?‍♂️

I can't believe genuine concerns those employees had are being trivialised in terms of "kicked off", "went crying" and "coup". As someone with mixed race heritage myself it makes me very uneasy that these sorts of comments keep getting posted.
James Martin has been banned permanently from this forum for continuing to express his political views in breach of the rules.
So is Farage GB News' Roland Rat? Big Grin

With LBC and the employment of Nigel Fararge, I do think it's more a case his usefulness/profitability to the station ran out, rather than him going on some moral grounds. Other presenters never wanted him on the station, they were bypassed. His views are well known, LBC knew that when they took him on so I would not believe any subsequent statements in which they seem shocked at any action he took on air. I wonder what will happen, if he crosses a line on GB News, that will be a mine field!

Non of this will improve the presentation, nor the news content.

He wasn’t employed. He was on a services contract to do x amount of shows per month/year.

He went too far, people complained and Global terminated the agreement.

Problem for him and GBN is that he either reigns it in or they’ll run into trouble with Ofcom. Having him do what he normally does and Wootton likely tips the balance of no longer providing a balanced view over the course the day.

There was another video where they corrected it. This video appears to have been edited for twitter. Note the logo and Gb News click graphic positioning. Don't think I have seen that before.

You beat me to it. I've got a feeling it was Greg Dyke that said it, (some years later)?

Very brave of him to invite viewers' opinions, especially given what has happened in the past.

Looks like Mike Oxlong and Hugh Jarse will be back.

I suspect it is part of the plan, people phoning in agreeing all the time would be boring. I hope he takes some calls.

As someone of black heritage, I completely agree.
Nigel's name has always been linked to GB News, even from the day the announcement of the channel by Andrew Neil - so it is no shock or surprise that he has a 4 night a week programme. Who will be on the Friday 7pm slot though?
