They've recruited a South West reporter. Simon says he's in the building doing a computer course and will be reporting soon.
I guess the question is which part(s) of the SW. Can't imagine they'll send them anywhere from Gloucester to the Isles of Scilly, especially with the region's famously awful transport links
These local news reporters don’t really add much but do fill airtime I guess. I wouldn’t say any of the stories so far are not being reported in some form elsewhere. Perhaps they should focus on a story that might develop throughout the day such as a planned protest, court case or even weather event. A lot of these local stories then to be a rehash of a day old National story.

Sky have only ever had one SW reporter. Isabel Webster, now of GB News, did it for a while.

They can go days/weeks without filing anything. I expect GB News will get something most days.
Sky West of England's reporter covers a huge area spanning from SW Wales to Hampshire to Cornwall.

Exactly. Was a complete insult to the hundreds of regional reporters across the country to suggest other media didn't cover stories outside of London and it was always evident they would never be able to match not just the main players but also even the much maligned local channels.

The South West reporter is Duncan Sleightholme, formerly of BBC Spotlight, and prior to that, ITV West Country

That Sunday Night Live slot does seem to be a bit temporary and one of the few shows not featuring the presenters name. Wouldn’t be surprised if George Galloway ends up in the slot at some point, of course he’s standing for election at the moment which would be preventing it. He’s on the left but probably the right kind of leftie for GB News, pro-brexit etc.

I guess it comes down to whether GB News have bigger pockets than the Russians.

Talking about shows not featuring the presenters name, I find it slightly surprising The Political Correction, isn’t just called The Nigel Farage Show. Surely with the possible exception of Andrew Neil, he’s the biggest name on the channel and you’d want people to know he’s there.
They clearly wanted to downplay Farage's role on the channel considering no one knew about it until the show started.
Duncan is ok but find him a bit drab when he was on Westcountry Live, and his story’s on Spotlight were a bit dimmed Down. was hoping it might of been Justin Leigh who used to present Spotlight… ah well good luck to Duncan Smile

I've tried to let a lot of this slide.... but that is a simple error that even the most junior of staff would have noted!! How on earth did that make it to air?!!??
Ticker informs viewers that “This show is a replay, join the Great British Breakfast live from 6.00am”.
It's a shame HIGNFY's ended, I'm sure they'd be ripping the hell out of it. Ian certainly would going by that cover.

I wonder if them putting Simon at the back with his face half hidden is them suggesting he's completely demoted himself by moving to the channel. Certainly is somewhat of a fall to go from presenting the 1 o'clock news to ranting about recieving emails from Mike Hunt, Hugh Janus and Clee Torez.
