He’s practicing his ‘turn to reporter’ media training look, and very badly.
It's very... Arise News.

I appreciate there was always going to be teething problems, especially with such a quick turnaround but this is all quite embarrassing to watch. This needed weeks and weeks more rehearsals. The local news reporters VTs are extremely poor, Sheffield Live level of poor. The black and white 'quirky' bits particularly cringeworthy.
How does this launch compare to say the launch of local TV in England and also the original incarnation of L!ve TV of the 90s ?
Oh you don't want to go to Yeovil, last time I was there I was in a restaurant and someone on the next table didn't know how to use a pepper grinder! You won't get political comment!
Can those of you watching on freeview/freesat actually see grain on the studio cameras?
I'm still struggling to believe it's quite this dark leaving them, based on all the photos…

This is kind of nice looking set, they really just need to give it more lighting
I can see Andrew's reflection in glass behind Tom

Perhaps to allow the clock & ticker. I wonder if they took inspiration from the GB News mock in The Gallery?
Do any other channels here have tickers or similar during adverts? Bloomberg and Sky Sports News?
Why is Tom struggling to talk to the camera?

Ironically you can see Andrew in the reflection of the backdrop to make you realise exactly how small that studio is.

Yes. They’re going to have to really rework things like the lighting, the sets and studio layouts.
If the lighting was OK I think it would look fine.

They seem to be using LiveU - I take for down the line interviews?

More lighting isnt going to fix this set. Its all the wrong colours. Its should never has been black at all. The poor black woman cant even been seen. Awful.

Business news channels (Bloomberg, CNBC) has it. None others have.

After all, they're watched by people who needs instant information, i.e. traders.
One other point: the DOG looks great when it's on top of a white background, but awful with that gradient over the studio cameras.
