PTZ doesn't necessarily mean 'webcam', for example the high end Panasonic and Sonys are broadcast spec. The drawbacks with them are smaller lenses, which mean they literally means they can't scoop up enough light for an acceptable image, and with them opened right out, depth of field suffers.
However the latest ones from Panasonic and Sony are actually pretty good even with a load of gain in them!
Yes fair point. Actually I've been using Panasonic AW-UE150WEJ cameras on a recent project. Lighting is very subdued and they do well. As I said up thread, training is all important, coz you've got to know how to get the best out of them when surrounded by limitations

Interesting article, they're obviously trying not to be critical but then there's this:
Quote:These walls are covered in a dark texture that appears similar to acoustic foam and has slivers of color-changing LED inlays.
Appears similar.... because that's what it is?
Didn’t watch the beginning of the programme, but it appears The Great British Breakfast have moved to the sofas, with only Darren and Kirsty on-screen at the moment.
It’s better at the sofas. But… where’s Nana? Will be disappointed if they’ve swerved her off.

Ha, well yes. I suppose it's better visually than egg boxes

PTZ just means (remotely operated) pan tilt zoom doesn't it? It shouldn't necessarily have a bearing on the picture quality.

a new record for the fastest set change to a sofa for a Breakfast programme!
First substitiute presenter, Inaya in for Mercy
So in a week we've gone from 4 to 2 on GBB, which is good. I'm glad GBNews are happy to change things in an instance rather than just plough on like many shows and channels do.

I'm not keen on Dan Wootton, but he handled the whole situation well.
What a channel this is...

Sub or replacement?
Sub. Mercy has an exam apparently.
Interesting to see that they haven't put last night's Tonight Live on the catch-up section of the app.
This could be an accident (it's happened before, the 15th June episode of the Great British Breakfast isn't on there whilst the rest are) but it does seem a bit coincidental with what happened last night.
