This is the setup Tom Harwood used earlier for his question in the Boris presser:

Not seen the 3 way before, looks good.

The picture quality appears to have improved on Freeview. Although in SD obviously.
Dan is coming across as a weird blend of Tucker Carlson mixed with Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly. I bet he watched a lot of old Fox News videos to get an idea of their presentation styles.
The other thing I forgot to mention is I don't see the point of the ticker being on during the adverts if it only repeats the same three stories and the contact details. It comes round again quicker than the length of each ad.

He said ventilators were killing patients. Ofcom really should be coming down on this mess like a tonne of brinks.

To be fair there have been medical reports that artificial ventilation should be avoided if possible, as it can cause more harm than good.

My main issue is through the comedy of errors they have given a lot of ammo to people who dislike people like me. I really wanted to like this channel but I'll be honest, I'm having a hard time doing so! I thought this channel was supposed to stand for people like me. It doesn't. People like me want technical competence for a start, and a major announcement from the PM to go out properly, not in mute with some bloke giving us the gist in a way not seen since Wogan was trying to work out what the Hell Toto Cutugno was babbling on about at Eurovision 30 years ago. I was prepared to forgive them for a lot, but the cockups on the Boris presser crossed the line.
Why do they bother with a ticker, when Andrew said in his opening monologue last night that GB News is not a rolling news channel.
I do hope that the 'pilots' themselves don't get blamed for this. Especially if they're inexperienced and starting out in the industry. Someone a lot higher up the food chain needed to realise what was required for a professional news channel to work technically - and they have failed thus far.
Give it a week and all the technical stuff will be sharpened up.

The content needs an urgent review though. It’s too jarring. Dan Wootton’s show is a huge contradiction to Andrew Neil’s launch speech. The regional reporters - I love the idea but it doesn’t sit alongside moans about taking the knee etc. It’s just one big moan really, very little of the positivity they promised.

It’ll fall into place I suspect. They’ll stumble across something that works. I feel like they need someone with a background in comedy. Funnily enough for all the talk of Piers Morgan joining I think Adil Ray would be quite good on it.
A news channel though discussing issues around Covid should be getting on people from the WHO, not The Who.
Did GB News blow a lot of their £60 million budget resources on gaining access to all linear TV platforms? I am wondering how much they are paying Freeview network, Sky, Freesat, Youview, Virgin Media per year to be on their EPG? Is that taking a good chunk out of their budget, which could have been spent on proper technical experience?

Looks to be the videowall and touchscreen area of the studio (unfinished?)

I noticed this video on YouTube freezes and has a circle of death (around 1:12), except it isn't a Youtube circle of death. Evidently they appear to be screen recording to create a video that can be uploaded to YouTube.

For what it's worth I can't stand the knee-taking and even *I* am tired of it dominating the GB News agenda - and I agree with what they bloody say!
