Time to start afresh I think, with a new GB News thread to discuss the forthcoming presenter changes.
Please remember the following when you post:
- Anything which perpetuates negative stereotypes or prejudices about people based on who they are, where they are from, or what they believe, is inappropriate.
- Discussion of political matters on the forum is strongly discouraged, as they can be divisive and encourage trolling. The only time that political discussion is acceptable on the forum, is to discuss presentation of major events (such as elections and important announcements). Members are asked to keep their personal thoughts on political matters to themselves, and not to post their opinions of politicians (or parties) on the forum.
i think the nigel's show will be interesting
If they could get Piers Morgan in for breakfast, have Nigel Fararge in his slot, add a decent news desk with at least half hour news. Maybe they have a chance. But if they choose to still leave the news operation on life support then I can’t see it going well.
Well known presenters are no good without the core element of proper news in between them. It’s meant to be a news channel of sorts. But talking heads all day will be that without the news.
From launch thread to relaunch thread in just 5 weeks. That must be some kind of record.

GB News. The gift that keeps giving!
Piers on the Breakfast Programme! What a stroke of genius that would be!

Ouch. Guto's thoughts on recent events.
I assume he won't be returning to GB News
After what he's said I'd be very surprised.
He gave them the thing they were looking for, publicity. It does highlight the hypocrisy of the channel. When you set out your stall for months about welcoming all views, opinions and being different, even going as far as sitting MPs co-anchoring shows, you then go and 'fire' a presenter for doing that?
Apparently they are also doing some set changes from tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see what they have done.
So far they have only 'tinkered', so perhaps this might be more substantial.

I find it quite extraordinary that Andrew Neil is discussing and acknowledging that Nigel Farage has recently promoted falsehoods and misinformation, yet he has been given a large role on the channel that Neil chairs. Certainly contradicts Neil’s words on the channel’s opening night.

There's a difference between expressing an opinion and pulling a stunt, which is what he did.

Certainly seems that way. I'm not sure I'd be willing to return to my job is my employers had used me as a scapegoat in the way Guto's been used.
Has there been any word on the future of The Political Correction. Will Farage continue to co-host alongside his new weeknight show ?
Love him or hate him, he’s by far one of the most natural presenters on the channel.
