Well GB News isn't an impartial "news" channel at all.
In the same way talkRADIO has jettisoned any "left of centre" presenter and replaced them with a roster of right wingers from morning to night.
And what are OFCOM doing? Nothing.
I don’t think Ofcom see a need to balance a right wing presenter with a left wing presenter (those terms are sort of meaningless these days anyway), it’s more about whether any viewpoints aired are balanced with opposing views. But it’s tricky, because I’m not sure how balanced something need to be. Do you need to offer both sides of an argument on a contentious issue equal airtime or do you just need to make sure the opposing view point is heard and considered, I’m sure on occasion even the latter doesn’t happen.
Of course if opposing view points are aired, how can it be fair if the viewpoint they’re opposing is that of a presenter controlling a debate. Quite often I’ve seen Wootton and Farage try give knock out answer to a guest’s point and quickly move on without allowing that guest to respond to said point.

Has GB News turned the corner? One thing I will say, regardless of content, the technical gremlins are nowhere near as bad as they were before. And quite a number of the strands have now “bedded-in”.
I found Breakfast (weekday and weekend) to be quite watchable. Farage is an acquired taste, but kudos to GBN for bagging such a controversial character.
I haven’t ventured into Dan Wootton territory quite yet.......
And now, back to BBC World. ?

I can't help thinking how that £1m would have been better spent on production.
They must have been desperate to form out that much too, hoping they can get more than 20,000 odd viewers.

Alternatively I think he’d have been silly to turn it down. Even if he struggles to get another job after his contract is up, he obviously didn’t have many offers apart from the occasional weeks presenting This Morning. So I don’t think he was in a position to look a gifted horse in the mouth.

And I can’t believe Huw Edwards is paid to present the GB News breakfast show, I’ve never seen him do it yet
It’s astounding really that the BBC’s top news anchor - who reaches well over 4 million people a night - is now paid half the amount of Eamonn Holmes, who currently reaches around 20,000 people each morning…
You can see why Huw Edwards is (reportedly) keen to look at other projects!

Agreed but if Edwards was paid more it would add more fuel to the “de-fund the BBC” campaign.
Bit of a change this morning on The Political Correction: Arlene Foster and 'Choo-Choo' Portillo hosting with Paul Embrey doing his usual commentating.
Likely temporary but I much prefer this to normal; Farage is a good broadcaster (whether you agree with him or not) but IMHO he's better on his own or as part of a panel rather than a co-host.
