I can’t imagine Dan’s happy about it.

Mark is the logical choice, so I can't seeing Dan being unhappy. Putting a random presenter into the slot may damage the ratings. I am sure Dan is more interested in getting a holiday!
I’m sure Dan is very happy to be going on Holiday. The point that I’m trying to make is, Dan might be worried that Mark’s shows ratings would be too good. I’ve heard it said that radio presenters are often worried about going on holiday as the cover guy might do better, but in radio you’re not getting daily ratings! After all Wootton’s already lost one day due to Dolan, although he may have been fine with that.

From the use of stills in that promo, as expected they don’t have any footage of either the 2001 conflict or more recent events to show - so I imagine it’ll either be a chat in the studio with some guests or they’ve got the local reporters to interview some veterans/their families with Brazier linking it together.

The former is indeed what happened - in what looks like an east London hipster’s lounge:

In other GBN updates, John Ryley’s predecessor as head of Sky News - Nick Pollard - has been brought in as an interim replacement for John McAndrew:

Nick Pollard is a good hire for GB News, even if it is only on an interim basis.
Hi, this is my first post on this forum. Sorry if this post is a bit off topic but I stumbled across this video on YouTube and was just wondering what happened to this GBN theme[img][/img].

Not falling off air in recent weeks is an acheivement of sorts.
The fact they're trying to get #GBN10 going makes me think they don't see themselves lasting a decade.

They probably don’t but I think you’re reading too much into it in and of itself.

I'm not denying that. It's just what stuck out to me.
Just a quick thought that I had the other day (and I think is too small an idea to warrant its own mock thread) - I think it would work if, they used the pretty much obsolete 'follow us' box to have show the programme logo, as seen here. I think it would be a much better use of the space.[Image: GBNTest.png]
God, marking a 10 weeks anniversary just makes them look even more of an echo chamber than they actually are. Is it just an excuse to play out footage of their biggest names whilst they're all on holiday?

Bizarre, surprised there's not more of a reaction to it here considering how people get annoyed at the likes of This Morning using any excuse of a yearly anniversary to celebrate. Especially bizarre if they're supposed to be attempting a relaunch soon anyway.
