Is that an icon of the sun in the background?

Looks like someone looked at Breakfast circa 2000 and was influenced by Breakfast Time with the sun icon.
I feel a bit surprised that they've gone with 'Breakfast' when that's already the name of the BBC's programme at the same time of day. With Sky going with the simple but effective 'Kay Burley', I might have expected GBN to swoop in and snap up the now-available 'Sunrise' title for their reworked programme.
I thought The Great British Breakfast was one of their better programme brands.
It's been a while since I've visited this particular topic. Will Stephen Dixon be hosting any shows for GB News?

Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday with Anne Diamond.

Also on weekends, Sky’s breakfast programme is also called ‘Breakfast’
That branding is very retro. Doesn’t look like it belongs on GB News. Be interesting to see their on screen presentation.

Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday with Anne Diamond.

That should be an interesting viewing as Anne Diamond is one of the legendary TV Presenters.

The name is not available - Sky owns the Sunrise trademark.

Looking at the schedule for the 8th January, the Saturday Morning Live show is now called 'Saturday Selection' and Alistair Stewart's show is cut to two hours although Darren Grimes doesn't start that day meaning two hours of repeats including a new 'Best Of The Briefing' show at 2pm.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the new branding and thinks it just goes back in time by about 15 years.

I have a strong suspicion that's exactly the intention, given the presenters and pairings they've hired for the Breakfast relaunch.

I am quite fascinated to see how it pans out. I'm an unashamed fan of the era (of Sky News and others) they are clearly trying to invoke here. I also really like the choice of presenters. Whether it all works, who can tell?

It's just so derivative of the channel they unashamedly and unjustifiably repeatedly attack.

Considering the brand identity was one of the few areas where GB News has made a very decent effort it is a bit of a shame to move away from it for what is their new flagship daytime show.
I wonder if its lost on GBN that without the mainstream media they wouldn't be here today. Not in the sense they provide an alternative, but they rely on mainstream media presenters, reporters, crew, news sourcing, pundits, talking points and so on to create GBN.

Surprised to see Farage live tonight with Nigel. I'd have thought the big names wouldn't be back until next week at earliest.
Thanks to Darren Letham on DS.
