From what I've seen of this new show, it's Patrick doing his talkRADIO shock jock act while Mercy continues to stumble. Moving it to the Farage set shows even more how lifeless she is.

I've been busy & haven't been able to dip in as much as I did at the start, but does this match the rest of daytime now then? Or is this the only 'talkRADIO' style show and the rest is still the dull nationwide reporter style stuff?

If they can crack Alex's new show this afternoon, it'll literally just be the 4 hours with Gloria & Liam which doesn't have much of an identity during the day.
Looks like they may have updated the theme for GB News:

Four hours of Tom Harwood is too much!

I might be the only one who prefers the sofa/breakfast bar set!?
If every show is coming from this area it's possible that they're currently doing work to improve the other area.

The afternoon programme is coming from the soft area.

Compare the vibrant studio backdrop and bright lighting on today's To The Point (above) to how black and gloomy the channel looked at launch and it's like night and day.

There's no shortage of discussion here when it comes to detailing the channel's (many) issues, but I think it's important, and, frankly, only fair, to also note when positive changes are made.
It was always going to evolve on air - just natural for a new channel, probably regardless of whether or not they had enough rehearsal time.

What's the rules though regarding laptop logos - I thought broadcasters usually had to cover them.

Loving the new titles and music for the new shows. However, not keen on the monologue openings, Alex also starting with something of an irritated rant.
That was a powerful opening from Alex, made a lot of good points. She's back at the desk and the background looks nice.

While she's ranting on "Britain's News Channel", people who want to know the news of the day are watching Sky, BBC, CNN, etc.

What US based channels do isn’t relevant.

Although I’d assume they’re ok, as long as they’re not receiving money from the manufacturer.
GB News calling itself "Britain's News Channel" is a direct take on Fox News Channel calling themselves "America's Newsroom" and during elections "America's Election HQ".

It does seem GB News is taking every bit of US news channel presentation and techniques, and hoping it looks good and catches on here in Dear Old Blighty.
