Maybe this all means Brazier is replacing Andrew Neil permanently, with a cheerio from Brillo
Nobody really thinks Neill is coming back, do they?
Surely this move relating to Colin Brazier could easily be that he is going to be main cover for Andrew Neil AND Nigel Farage? Probably enough work there to cover for most of the year :-)

The channel is re-launching in September so I would imagine he will return then.

Re talk radio up the thread, I think it is just down to money and not an expectation of GB news success. You go to work to earn, whoever offers the most is generally the main goal. Most people are going to take the money and go and work at GB news if they get a good offer.
Is the channel relaunching, though?

Lots of the proposed changes are already in effect - new breakfast show, new 9am show, new Afternoon Agenda, new host for Tonight Live, Farage… if they were hoping for a “relaunch” in September where everything’s shiny and new, they’ve spoilt all of their surprises.

Not really - they've just picked up something which was being questioned here and on social media and reporting it, and then it's being fed back into this confirmation as fact when it is anything but.

I do wonder though if it might suit both for Neil and Farage to effectively job share. I don't think either would particularly want to be tied to the channel week in week out but half a year on, half a year off, could work both for them and GB News.

That's a bit unfair on Paul, he's a very well known TV presenter and producer in himself without the Jonathan Ross connection.

He's an experienced and decent presenter but not a great fit for GB News. I've not heard his TalkRadio/Sport show but he's never struck me as being of that sort of ideology (but then that goes for others in GBN). His recent personal issues probably wouldn't be appealing to them either

Not a good fit in terms of how TV audiences know him - as a lightweight game show presenter. Mind you if he brought some of the things to GBN that he and his team came up with for The Word then they might be onto a winner. I'd watch Dan Wootton presenting young GBN viewers sitting in a bath of manure to get on TV Big Grin

For a second I thought it had been suggested that Jonathan Ross was getting a slot on GBN!

I have to say most of the GB News pre-evening content is still like watching paint dry, especially the afternoon slot. I do wonder if they will give up on the slots between breakfast and 4/5pm and just broadcast documentaries or something such as that.
Documentaries cost even more than actual news.

Well journalists and newsreaders have gone on to do game shows (Richard Whiteley, Clive Myrie and Dan Walker for example), perhaps could easily work the other way too Big Grin
Have Sky News & GB News playing side by side in the background - GBN taking the Welsh First Minister's Press Conference from a screen share of a Facebook Live. Awful quality & super laggy.

At least it means that Colin Brazier is getting another slot once he stops covering for Andrew Neil.

Probably cheaper to let Mercy see out her contract.

I hope this isn't political but if they get rid of Mercy, there would no longer be any BAME representation. All the prime time slots have been given to middle aged white dudes. Nana, who was quite refreshing has recently been side lined in favour of a new middle aged white dude!

Presumably Nana starts her new weekend show in September and covered breakfast with Tom Harwood this morning.

GBN once again proving to be the only broadcast news outlet in the UK where on-air staff call each other out:
