Are any of the remote interviews live?
I remember pre earpiece and the floor manager would typically wind up an interview or demo at one end of the studio, the director would roll a VT on a 10 second run up and the floor manager would make his way towards the main presenter while counting to zero with both hands with a script under his arm.
The daily Covid stats graphic looks to have a new look

The whole coronavirus graphic package has been overhauled. Did they show the new graphics on the One and the Six?

Also I don’t want to turn this to a rota discussion but Shaun Ley is doing The Papers tonight, does that mean they’re now returning to the pre-Covid arrangement, bring NC presenters in the evening slot and The Papers?

possibly. The afternoon schedule seems to have altered too with one presenter now doing the 1pm & 5pm hours and someone else doing 2-5pm.
I wonder if this new schedule could be a hint towards afternoon live and other branded programmes returning.
could somebody help me with the metropol uploader please if possible? there's a particular png image I'm trying to upload, but when it does it doesn't show the thumbnail, and when I attach it in here it displays a question mark... anyone know why?
thanks!

Something's definitely in the running. Seems like a strange set up otherwise.
I hope this is the sign of changes, feel the News Channel has lost some of its spark

I do take the point that - compared with how it was - things do feel a little 'flat' in terms of the channel. That said, I really do need to just point out how much colleagues have put into make a channel work during the middle of a pandemic, not to mention keeping the whole service ticking over. Things will change, but just like everyone there needs to be some readjustment and refinement as we slowly figure out how to safely return. Legit, not a pop just a statement of where things are.
It is very impressive that the BBC have managed to keep two 24 hour news channels on air under the current circumstances. The teams behind them deserve a lot of credit for doing it well and safely.
In other news, Nick Bryant is leaving the BBC after 25 years. Another big loss.
