I really like the new backgrounds in C. I wonder if they will keep the blue London background in the 9pm slot...

The London backgrounds have always looked fairly nice so I would hope that they have not changed too substantially.

Agreed. Nice to see something different in C, other than just the newsroom.
The BBC are being optimistic only moving the Ten to 10:35. It's isn't all over. Smile
I think that new background in C would be used for BBC World bulletins as well the NC?

Please I hope not the blue London skyline looks better on screen.
Nice touch to have a shot of Wembley replace the newsroom shot at the start of the 6/10.

But shifting to a wider shot (especially with other parts of the physical set in frame) makes clear how unrealistic it is - as if the studio is on a slope, at risk of sliding backwards into the newsroom.
Yeah honestly - and conscious that maybe somebody who worked on it might see my comment - I think it looks horrible. Horrible in the sense that it makes me feel a bit queasy! I also think that backdrops on that screen need to be a very specific image, and these indoor ones just don’t seem to work.
Martine at Ten again tonight. And also at teatime.

Let’s hope it’s not long before she’s part of the Network pool for the midweek editions as well.
The desk in Studio E seems to be lit orange this morning for some reason, most noticable when they pan across to the catwalk.

Second weekend in a row and third within a month, clearly proving her worth to bosses. Go Martine!

I’m loving how they are utilising her the way they should be. Long overdue and so deserved.

I believe the amount of praise she received for her coverage of the death of Prince Phillip had played a big part in this,

There is a decent balance now.

Huw, Sophie, Fiona, George, Reeta, Clive, Jane, Ben and Martine.

Kate seems to have dropped off the radar unless she’s other commitments.

I also believe Christian will join sooner rather than later.

Victoria Derbyshire has done a few News at One and Fives recently and weekend network bulletins so more senior than Martine

Kate's probably just on Summer break or whatever, has recently started doing Fridays after a while just Saturdays
**ROTA THREAD ALERT** :x

Hahahaha! Oh come on, not quite. However, things may be changing as we’ve seen on screen. No reason why we can’t have a thread to discuss changes AND NOT FANTASY ROTA’s which was always the issue to the other forum .
