Sky made an effort with General Election studio as they once again used VR within Sky Central and it looked amazing.

That's why they have studios with real sets (albeit augmented with some AR). I don't want to see someone sat in a corner of the newsroom, or in Studio A unless there has been technical problems.
An ordinary consumer of news doesn't need to see the method of it being gathered in the background.
If I buy a pack of sausages from the supermarket, I don't expect to see a butcher in the background slaughtering a pig. Extreme example, I admit, but to non-Pres Geeks, the news is someone sat at a desk in front of a wall. Many don't see beyond that.
The 8pm election update on BBC One also briefed other news, just like the daytime summary so many years ago…

She has definitely presented sporadically before, think the last time she presented was about 2-3 years ago.

Last night they got Sophie for the late bulletin even put the Ten hashtag on screen, but they still used the generic intro instead of the numbered one…

A corner near the Breakfast/North West Today studio, normally North West Today uses it for the regional output during Breakfast.
The background was previously used by Studio N6 and TC7 in the Television Centre and it’s not taken from the real newsroom, just a digital backdrop.

Long gone are the days then when such rota changes would lead to strike actoin and Stephen Cole and Chris Rogers fronting the network bulletins for a day or two.

Also last night’s teatime bulletin moved to the BBC Scotland Channel.
And in Wales, Friday’s News at Six was on BBC Two.
quick question on BBC Breakfast - that clock that strikes 6:00 right at the opening titles... Is that a real-time clock that's synced to the BBC clocks? or is it a baked in title/graphic?
