Nope. Looks like it was recorded before Covid. You can tell by the red tables & sofas around the newsroom which, since lockdown began last year, they were removed and haven't returned since.
Pre-recorded trundles have been in use throughout today since the NC began airing at 10am after Breakfast and still continue to do so at present time, so I would assume that some form of maintenance is ongoing in the newsroom which means that E has to be out of action and they temporarily move into a different studio.
Update: There was initial thought that the hoop itself was going to finally get itself a fix so that the real thing can finally be seen, but that doesn't seem to be the case now.
Question is if that was recorded before Covid why couldn’t they use that when the hoop first broke in June instead of that dodgy looking one they recorded where the camera was shifted downwards ?

Yes. They used another studio temporarily for 3 hours on a Saturday morning, it’s not like they did the News at Ten from a landfill site.

There was a continuity announcement over the credits of Panorama just now (just before 18:00). It's the first time I've ever heard one on BBC News. There was a weird click/clunk after it suggesting it was very adhoc.
I thought it was a recording of one from a previous BBC One airing but it referred to the next episode "over on BBC One" tomorrow.
Odd itself that Panorama got a somewhat secret outing on BBC2 and BBC News rather than BBC1 for the Pandora Papers. You'd have thought if they'd been working on it for 12 months (in conjunction with The Guardian) they could hold off one more day before releasing it all so it did get a more prominent broadcast slot.

The Paradise Papers investigation was also broken on a Sunday, although the programme got on BBC One rather than Two.

The Paradise Papers had a second part in the normal Panorama slot on the Monday, as does the Pandora investigation tomorrow.
Now then, who was it that claimed Fiona Bruce had quit her news reading duties.... she must be filling in again this week, as she was last Monday. I wonder how much longer it will last.
