It’s basically like a 2 hour long Martin Lewis Money Show, just with added shaking of head and dramatics from Susanna.
News in…. Gok Wan has signed up to be the new presenter alongside Susanna Reid. Starts week after Easter
Very clever April Fools joke. Which at the same is a real shame. Only because it's about time ITV got its head out of the gutter and found a permanent replacement for Piers Morgan. The sooner it finds a new presenter the better.
"Got its head out of the gutter"? I'm not sure such melodramatic language is necessary when talking about finding a new presenter for Good Morning Britain.
I was reading something tweeted out by the BBC Press Office earlier when I thought I noticed something familiar about a photo, but couldn't quite put my finger on what it was that I recognised.
This is the image in question, in a story about new cast members being announced for the next series of Noughts and Crosses:
It looks like the two actors are on the set of Good Morning Britain?! The top of the desk matches the current megadesk, but with a different background image on the screen and different colour on the light strip behind the actors.
If I'm right, it seems a bit strange for them to be shooting scenes (or even just publicity photos) on the GMB set, doesn't it? According to the press release the two actors will play TV personalities in the next series, but even so I'd have thought it odd for TV studio scenes to be shot on an existing set, especially one for an unrelated programme that airs on a rival broadcaster!
Judi Love to replace Piers.
Think it happens more often than you realise with a quick redress of an existing set. Presumably this is a BBC Studios production filming in a set leased out by BBC Studios?
EDIT: Actually a Mammoth Screen production, so an ITV Studios production in an ITV leased studio.

I don’t think that was an April Fools to be honest.
