To each their own, but I'm not really happy about this. I wasn't a fan of Madeley before he started on GMB, and he hasn't won me over since. I'm not sure what impact it'll have on viewing figures compared to the Morgan era, but I know that they've lost my mum's viewership, and won't be regaining mine.
Great news. You can tell he’s having the time of his life, and he’s by far the most compelling guest host they’ve had. I’ve been watching more since he’s been on these last few weeks.
They needed a foe for Susanna Reid again after Piers left and the original Alan Partridge plays up to that role well.
I imagine ITV will not want to confirm until after I’m a celeb in case it goes wrong for him in there. You would expect him through to be experienced enough to not ruin his chances by saying something silly in there.
Huw will be gutted.

Worth pointing out the article does have this quote from ITV:

It hasn't widely been re-reported which suggests others doubt it when usually they'll happily regurgitate each others stories.
I hope that what's been reported is true. However, I doubt a contract has been actually signed like has already been said they will most likely wait til after i'm a celeb, sign a contract, promote it as a 'new GMB 2022' sorta thing and get him on permanently in January 2022
There was a slight technical hitch during the competition before 7am. The details of how to enter were cut short into a blank black screen with the GMB graphics still running, and then going straight to the TOTH intro rather than the weather.
