Is that actually 100% Confirmed that Richard Madeley is the Permanent replacement for Piers? I thought that was just the usual Media Clickbait saying that Madeley is the Permanent replacement for Piers when in reality nothing has officially been confirmed.
I must have missed the Official Announcement on GMB's Social Media accounts.
I'd say if a replacement is to be announced then I guess they'll do it either this week or early next week
They have to announce one in the next 2-3 weeks otherwise I think GMB is in trouble, viewers don't like constant change every day and it would be good to get some normality in a way back.

As much as ITV try and push their daytime stars as a kind of "family" to the audience I do think them breaking so early for Christmas, and so long for summer, does mean a bit of a disconnect with the audience. Would be better to give them the extra week off after New Year IMO.
And just checking the Christmas schedules GMB does give way to CITV on the Holiday Monday and Tuesday.
