I assume they're going after the LBC and Times Radio audience

AFAIK it will just be the TV station simulcast on radio. I expect the ads will be the only difference (if any).

It'll be interesting to see who does their radio sales as I don't think Sky provide radio advertising?
Seeing as we've looped back around to GB News Radio, I'm not sure it'll bring in that many listeners. Radio tends be a bit more intimate, and normally involves some form of relationship with the audience. BBC Radio 5 Live and LBC work because they have a good mix between experts and people who want to talk and debate. And LBC News works by going against the grain of the other news channels and stations by acting as a pure headline service.

Obviously I can't say for certain what will happen as there's been no output yet, but from what I've heard about the station format, I'm not sure if it'll have much success on the radio side.

The press release made it sound like they hadn’t decided yet, but you’d assume it probably would just be a radio simulcast of the TV channel, at least for most of the day. Perhaps it could have its own breakfast and drive-time show?
Is the ticker a little jerky? Or is it me…have to say all other tickers are smooth

Andrew Neil has already said that GB News is not going to be a rolling news channel. Just appointment to view programming, and then reruns
One hour countdown clock now on air.

If it doesn't conclude with a musical intro like this, I will be disappointed

I am liking this countdown. Also since it is a new channel, I predict the fire alarm will go off in its first week.
(Sorry to briefly go off topic here but there is another comment under this that is on topic so thats why this is in brackets, but if I am not mistaken this has the second most posts on TV Live Forum history, only Death of Prince Philip has more.)

Anyway, I just noticed the countdown is actually a loop that restarts, not the numbers, but everything else.
It will appear that the GBN ‘Theme’ has backing vocals

I don't hear the backing vocals,
Edit: Nevermind.

I quite like the loop that is playing, very modern/fresh, dare I say a tad American. It will be interesting to hear further cuts.
Whatever font is being used for the countdown. It looks like comic sans?
