I can't read the article so I don't know what is says, but I think the point is that at the BBC you would not feel "safe" coming out and saying you voted leave. Whereas on GB News people may be free to say however they voted without fear.

Simon was probably the only presenter who I was hoping would be unbiased, but now I guess I have my answer.
Based on that, anyone who has ever voted for anything or has their own beliefs would be biased? Gloria De Piero is an ex Labour MP (so presumably her opinions are centre-left) and she voted Remain. Is she biased? No. Her Times Radio shows were balanced, just as Simon McCoy’s style was, and probably still will be. Just because people have personal views you may disagree with, it doesn’t make them unable to present both sides of an argument.
There’s a lot of people on here who seem adamant the channel will fail - either at launch or in the long-run. Let’s give it a chance first, maybe?!

I've certainly come round to the giving them a chance phase. It may well be bloody awful as they try and figure how to be impartial while keeping certain viewers happy, but the charter seems a lot more promising than the earlier estimations are.
There are going to be voices on GB News that go against my beliefs, but you also get them on Sky and the NC.
I get the feeling from reading through comments on here, that a good lot of people have pre-judged what GB News is like by always referring back to Fox News. That is totally unfair to GB News.
We have not seen one minute of news programming from GB News. I think a lot of people have watched too much Fox News on YouTube, that they have decided this is exactly the path and style GB News will follow.
Please, just wait and see. It launches tomorrow night, with Monday their first full day. Patience is all we need.

But it's not just the Fox News comparison. The CEO is the same guy who turned Sky News Australia into the Australian version of Fox News. Based on that track record, I didn't hold out much hope that GB News was going to be anything other than a UK version of Fox News. Their Editorial Charter has significantly altered my opinion. My fears still remain the same, but they aren't anywhere near as strong as they were before hand. We will see what happens.
The comparisons with Sky News Australia are also OTT. For the majority of the day, it is NO different to Sky News UK editorially. A mix of impartial domestic and international news. The only difference is they have a block of shock-jock style opinion shows which air in peak when most viewers aren't watching rolling news.
I don't want to be aware of the political leaning of journalists, and I want them to be professional enough to leave their personal views aside. The BBC bends over backwards to placate both sides and maintain no signs of bias. (even when it offends my own political views)
The fact he felt the need to distance himself from a "leftie" BBC is a red flag to me. It is the stated aim of the channel by it's chairman and most well known face (Andrew Neil) to give voice to people with that view, and put forward one world view against another side.
I am on the left, and I am of an LGBT+ group, and I will never be able to view the output of this channel in a light which isn't "proudly" against people like me.
By my nature, I am a both sides kind of person. I will "angrily" listen to Nick Ferrari on LBC cursing the people he has on, and the way he audibly rustles his papers when someone he is dismissive of is talking on the air. And then listen to James O'Brien for my breath of fresh air "at least someone is sensible and right".
I don't view LBC as biased, only the individual personalities. But I listen to try to understand the arguments that are used against people like myself.
GB News appears to be making no effort at all to be a plurality of views and voices. Which immediately makes me feel dismissive of the whole endeavour and everyone involved. And I was hopeful there may be some balance, because I am curious - being a Londoner - what this supposedly ignored other part of the country has to say. (not just the right wingers who have IMO made this country, heck this world, an unpleasant place to live in since Brexit, and Austerity, and Trump.)

I wish that were guaranteed, however the Trans community has become a target for many, and many are living in fear in this country due to it. Whilst I am Gay, not Trans - I recognise a tide turning against the more progressive strides that had been making things better.

Thank you for that. The background looks nicely decorated, in a similar way to This Morning, those dark blue/purple tones work well with the evening schedule for Neil’s programme, I wonder if they are lighter colours during the day.
Also, Cam 5 & Cam 8 on that image look as though they should be accompanied with a Marcus Bentley voiceover, “Day 1…” style.
