Does anyone know when the station will launch? I thought it would be last month.

June seems to be the target launch month.
Fun to see a real insight into who does and doesn’t get on (and GBN seems to be bringing a lot of this out)...

For context, Vine was the subject of ridicule the other day for asking whether there was enough diversity amongst the guests at Prince Phillip’s funeral.
It’s incredible. It’s as if they’ve all been bursting to be the next Katie Hopkins, and being with their previous broadcasters had prevented this.
They seem to be forgetting that this may not be a permanent career move and even if it is still going as with all news operations they'll likely be a cull every couple of years.

Sadly though in the long term suspect being a rent a gob pays better than being a respected newsreader.

Really think though using an image of the Queen at her husbands funeral to have a dig at another broadcaster is pretty low. For me that is worse than what he did with MH17.
Colin also took a pot shot at Adam Boulton earlier this week. When you see most broadcast journalists and production teams tweet, there is clearly a professional respect between the BBC, ITV, C4 and Sky.

Looking at his timeline, "give someone enough rope" is probably the best approach for dealing with Colin Brazier.
Not seen official confirmation yet, but from The Guardian’s Media Editor: https://twitter.com/jimwaterson/status/1...30442?s=21

Edit: Confirmed now.

AllWillBeWell

GB News I think is going to be a lot like Sky News in the early to mid 2000s.

First person to leave Times Radio. Wonder who the replacement will be.
Just when you think they'd hire a motormouth from talkRADIO, they went for Gloria instead.
New article from Bloomberg on the upcoming launch:

Two things from it:
  • No foreign correspondents
  • Likely based in the same building in London as the Press Association

Also interesting to note its operating budget will be £25m a year, a quarter of that of Sky News.

Has it been confirmed that Gloria will be leaving Times Radio or will she merely do her Sunday morning G&T show once GB News launches?

Guess we’ll find out soon enough. Thought they’d have gone for Ayesha Hazarkia (maybe they tried), she ticks the same boxes politically but I’d say is the more rounded presenter.

I'm not sure how good Ayesha is fronting a show. I seem to remember she stood in for Matthew Wright once and it wasn't particularly well received.
