I've got to say the logo is awful. I know that the "N" is for news but it looks to me that someone has just slapped it together in 5 minutes using either powerpoint or after effects.

To be fair, you could say the same thing about the Sky or BBC News logos and I’d argue this is more artistic than both of them.

Thats a good point but it raises the question of whether artistry or identity is more important in a channel's name?

I found a potentially libellous Facebook page called 'Anna Riley Lies' which appears to be a one man mission to ruin her career when she was working for the Hull Daily Mail.
Anna herself is featured being a victim of trolling on Hull Live.

It looks like most of the regional reporters have been announced now, just now the (E/W) Midlands, East of England and the South West I think:
Scotland - David Donaldson
Wales - Lily Hewitson
Northern Ireland - Conchúr Dowds
London - Paul Hawkins
North West - Bradley Harris
North East - Rachel Sweeney
Yorkshire - Anna Riley
South East - Ellie Costello
While I would guess GB News' regional operations won't be the same scale as the BBC (possibly even home based?), I do think it's quite better than the BBC/ITV/Sky in that reporters will be actually based in regions across the UK - as opposed to a few larger bases for the BBC and fewer for Sky and travelling in and out of areas to cover stories.
That is in spite of the fact the BBC and ITV have regional newsrooms across the UK - their local journalists do not normally contribute to national news coverage as much as I would like.
It'll be interesting to see how big those patches will be. The Scotland, NI, Wales and London ones are obvious, but could we see Ellie Costello covering a patch from Colchester to Weymouth?
The old West of England patch on Sky News used to cover the West and South West of England, plus South Wales and even as far as South Hampshire/West Sussex until Harriet Hadfield joined as their Southern correspondent based on the Isle of Wight.
