Yes, and camera racking. Take a look how the BBC manage to make the same studio and set look so different with BBC Breakfast, and North West Tonight
GBNews clearly don't watch Channel 5 then.

Interesting they have a Northern Ireland correspondent when the channel is called GB News, considering NI isn't part of GB.

I think we're splitting hairs there. Yes, technically it's not part of GB, it's park of the UK of GB and NI. But given NI will get the same television services GB do, it would be remiss to exclude them. Not to mention that NI issues are still part of the wider UK news agenda.

I think the issue may have been that Murdoch's channel was going to be called 'News UK'. I understand that GB doesn't include NI, but 'GB News' has the UK flag as part of their logo, so I think only us pedants would have a raised the name as a problem.

It might be splitting hairs to you, but some people in Northern Ireland think otherwise as there are many people who are ignorant as to the differences between the terms UK and GB. The same way many British people are ignorant about the Republic of Ireland being an independent country.

Do they not get GMB in NI? Do they exclude NI contestants on TGBBO and the many other formats with Britain/British in their titles?

I think those who are bothered probably won’t be watching anyway.
These people must also be too busy getting worked up about their international number plates, the shortened name form of their Olympic team and the name of their main public broadcaster.
Yes, the people I know from Northern Ireland are far more bothered about all the blood shed rather than whether they're referred to as being from the UK or GB.
And besides if they get a Washington correspondent are people going to start complaining that it's not a part of GB?
Up until a few years ago I thought NI was in GB as I just considered it the same thing as the UK. It never occurred to be the full name "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" I would suggest people are not going to care and will watch the channel in NI as in any other part of the UK if it interests them. NI is not a war zone either. I hope people can worry about more light hearted things.......
UKOGBANI News just doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Pedantry I know, but Britain isn't the same as Great Britain. The latter is just England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, whereas the former can be taken to include Northern Ireland - indeed the British vs Irish identity is very important to many people there.
The channel is putting itself forward as the one that understands news and views outside the London political bubble, but in real terms I can't see this question worrying too many people.
If we could get back to discussion regarding GB News please, and move away from the political discussion (which is what this is turning into), that'd be great...
All seems to be coming together do we know how the logo will be used
