I doubt it. Maybe there could be part of the supposed second batch that's on its way?
Although I quite like them, if six more bring the total to 24, these are going to become tired quite quickly. Whilst they are technically three different idents in each set, because you see the same location and all three combined within the lens, it does feel that in some ways they're only airing 6 idents, rather than 18.
I wasn't a fan of Oneness (even though they did improve as they went on). However, because they were all filmed in completely different locations, it did add a lot of variety at least. Hopefully there's going to be a lot more locations added. Whilst I like them, they're already feeling a little repetitive after just one week.

They need more stuff happening during the idents to keep it visually interesting. It's what I liked about the Circle era, the form ups of the circles were always fun to watch.
What I'd like them to do is what they showed in their preview video. Start on one ident, a lamp post goes by and then it changes to another Ident. That looks really cool.
I'm sure they'll add to them as they usually do but 24 (even if you consider it 8) is quite enough for starters. I think the curve only started with 8 for example but soon became many more. Also nowdays there are seemingly less junctions and I don't think people are watching individual channels as long anymore, so not seeing idents back to back on a daily basis.
Still wish there was more of an audio element to it though they've clearly been designed to not compete with the continuity announcer.

The BBC2 Curve launched with 16 idents, they were all on air by December. So BBC1 has launched with more with 18 on air already. Will be up to 21 by May. Can't remember BBC1 launching with so many idents since the Balloon globe. That had a ridiculous number at launch, something like 30 to 40?
I like a lot of idents in a package, one for each junction during a typical day. It gets boring when only a handful are used constantly.
Anyone noticed if they are focusing on using the night variants in the evenings?

Looking at the ever reliable
TVHome
, it seems like they have been making an effort to match the idents to the time of day they air, but it’s not always the case.

Ooooh, could those be the Lido ones that you mentioned before?
Those seem really appropriate considering the heatwave we're in atm.

Oh God no! I hope they don't

Is 'Lido' official BBC wording, or is it just TVLF phrasing?
I must admit - and I hope I'm not alone in this - I had to Google 'lido' to understand what it means.
Other than the gentleman who missed the boat at the start of the Boz Scaggs song, I'd never come across the word before.
Well it certainly won’t be the first ident to feature a lido…

Yeah, I think it's a southern term tbh. I've heard the term before but wasn't sure what it was, and by complete co-incidence a couple months back a Flog It repeat I saw had a section on them.
I always just called them a 'swimming pool' or 'public pool' (or just 'pool') - only difference I think is a lido is outside
