Presumably someone at ITV will have to get the scissors out & cut the mentions that Vernon/Alan do at the end to promote Epic/JR Show?

There’s another one where a secret admirer reveals themselves to their crush, sounds like a horrible premise, I can just see someone getting crushed when their crush rejects them. Hard enough in real life, must be terrible for it to happen AND then be broadcast on national TV (well, to the 50K people who watch ITV2 at 6pm on weekdays).

Secret Admirer started off as a 2 part pilot on 5Star a few years ago that didn't get commissioned but ended up being reasonably successful internationally and is now on ITV2.
It all depends how it's edited and if they get the tone right so it isn't exploitative. I suspect the one woman will know up front, or at least from the beginning of the shoot, that there is a game at play and it's not about finding the one.
These sort of shows aren't my thing really but E4 had a similar concept in the noughties with Fool Around With My Boyfriend/Girlfriend - but that was very much presented as a game where you had to pick out the single person in that weeks group of 4 rather than a dating show, and had the girlfriends/boyfriends on site watching on too.

Little bit surprised at this. I kind of enjoyed the show, although thought Faye was a bad choice as team captain. She didn’t seem to know a lot of even the most basic TV questions!
I can only presume it is cheap to make. I seem to remember it aired post-Masked Singer & Voice UK at the start of the year and didn’t feature many adverts. Mainly promos, assuming the quota was used by the earlier mentioned shows.
Not surprised it got a second series (as above, I think they can be done with the series in 3 or even 2 days of recording) but am surprised they haven't taken the opportunity to swap out Fay with someone slightly more knowledgeable - or even just ditch the 'regular' team captains and have 2 teams of 3 different celebs each week
I’m not sure when it came into effect, but I noticed today’s episode of Countdown was credited to Lifted Productions and not ITV Studios outright anymore. Any other shows have the new credit yet?

In For A Penny has the new credit as did the final few episodes of Takeaway. I think University Challenge will be under Lifted when it returns in July.
I thought tonight's scheduling was very odd. At 9pm we had the first in the new series of Beat The Chasers. Then at 10 was the news followed by a Des O'Connor documentary. Here's were things got strange - at 11.10pm we had a repeat airing of the earlier Beat The Chasers episode. This meant the repeat was airing a little over an hour after the first airing finished - on the main channel too.

This seems to happen fairly regularly when ITV strips a series across 1 week. Viewpoint was the same last week... although slightly later at about 11:40pm most nights. Tonight's would've probably been the closest they've done it because of a shorter News at 10 & no regional news.
Although I did notice: one night last week the Viewpoint repeat was at 3:15am, followed by the nightly signed repeat at 4am, meaning only 10 minutes of ITV Nightscreen before Tipping Point at 5:05am.. which must've been the shortest appearance in ages!
When they report the overnights with the repeat being before 2am does that get lumped in with the 9pm figure?

Interesting. I liked the first series, but hope that a few of the issues are ironed out, such as the difficulty of the questions - yes there should be challenging ones but aimed within different rounds, it sometimes felt like one team were asked to name three judges from Britain’s Got Talent whilst the other to name three of the sign language interpreters from the sign zone (hyperbole, but you get the idea).
I feel that there could have been a couple of extra rounds too, the 35 minute (ish) run time without ads felt like it contained a lot less than Telly Addicts did at it’s prime.
The other issue for me was Fay Ripley, I think she’s a brilliant actress and very funny, but she didn’t seem to know anything! I feel that a model similar to Britain’s Brainiest Celebrity Family could work with two teams consisting of a famous face and TV loving members of their family.
