Quite early for Moneyball. Don't know what that says about it.
Wasn't really expecting Moneyball to be a 6:30pm Gameshow - that slot seems to be reserved for Stephen Mulhern!
But then again, when is the best slot in that evening? If Strictly is still starting at 7 and running for 2 hours, there really isn't a clear 60 minute window to place it.

Better to try and build and audience for Moneyball than two shows which have peaked and are basically filler, although Moneyball may turn out to be less than OK.
I think Moneyball would not normally have gone so early, but it would be like a death sentence to launch a new format midway through Strictly so it's probably the best place for it.
Ian Wright was never that great a presenter when the BBC used him on everything in the early noughties (think he might have had an ITV chat show too), so not sure this will have much impact. Starsearch might have done better, perhaps in a 6pm slot (I think it's 90 minutes).

TV Zone reporting that ITV has lost the rights to first run Family Guy, so the newest series will premiere on Disney+/Star first before going on ITV2. It’s probably the first time since Sky One that Family Guy has been pay TV first before Free to Air.

I guess it’ll just go like American Dad has now then. You can watch S17 on Disney+, but ITV2 are currently airing S16 labelled as “New” (as I guess it is them!)

The 2019/2020 series of The Simpsons went onto Disney+ in November 2020. The 2020/2021 series will be on Disney+ in two weeks.
I doubt that'll hit ITV2 ratings too much considering new episodes, deliberately perhaps, get lost amongst the repeats. Good news though it retains a linear TV outing.

You make a good point earlier on about shows of the same ilk taking something away from one another when they are scheduled together. This year going into next has singing shows one after the other and will perhaps be too overwhelming just as gameshow after gameshow is currently.
Walk The Line will benefit as it goes out first but by the time Starstruck comes along, people are going to be fed up.
Agree with the above, it's been gameshow after gameshow for months on end. When Moneyball was originally due to launch in March I think audiences would have been more interested than they are going to be now after months of them back to back across Saturday nights.
I understand that part of the imbalance we've seen is Covid related so hopefully that gets addressed in 2022.

Agree, but it also feels like the imbalance is because ITV have zero clue what to schedule up against SCD?
Last year they had their hand forced as they delayed the later stages of BGT & The Voice, so it fed them nicely from the early part of Autumn right up to IAC starting. The year before was BGT Champions and the 2 X Factor series. It really does feel like they just need to take a punt and move a non-Gameshow series to Autumn for next year. The Voice would 100% be my preference & I think the audition stages will hold up pretty well. Could Game of Talents work? I know it's kind of a gameshow, but it is variety based?
