I know CITV that that similar format in early 1996 made by STV but it would have been cool had Planet 24 made The Word style show for children on Sky One Sunday mornings as part of the Undun block in late 1995.

I think it was about 2014, the same time they stopped free entry on the website.

I think that's a good choice of host. Will be interesting to see who they pick as judges because you want it as far away from the X Factor 'favourites' as possible. With Maya as host, it looks like it's heading in a new direction for sure.
Her first big solo primetime gig, but I think with a heavy format like Walk The Line sounds she'll be totally fine.
Flicking through the EPG, I’ve found this thing called Unwind with ITV airing on the 2nd October when Nightscreen would normally be on. It’s described as “Your daily escape designed to calm the mind and encourage relaxation and reflection.” Could this mean the end of Nightscreen?
How many more series is The Voice contracted for?
Does it even have a contract? ITV owns the production company.
They renew it series by series now.
I do think the problem ITV have in Q1 is with three similar formats in The Masked Singer, The Voice and Dancing on Ice they all somewhat take away from each other. Masked Singer is obviously the talking point, but The Voice and Dancing on Ice somewhat exist just to fill the airtime, rather than be the big show of the weekend that ITV focus attention on.
The Voice is a bit of a lost cause since whoever wins it won't make it in the music industry. The brand may be popular worldwide but viewers elsewhere perhaps don't expect it to be the star-making vehicle that it initially was here in the UK. Once it was realised this wasn't the case the show has performed poorly and relies on other programmes to prop it up in the schedules.
Problem is, apart from Saturday Night Takeaway and The Masked Singer, what other big shows do ITV have to give it a good lead-in?
