Virgin Media have now updated their sky news logo on their epg.

New SkyNews Internatinal idents are bombastic ! They feature a vertical split with a big authentic globe image as back in the great early 2000er!!

... Well the ticker is easier to read. Apart from that it's not all that different. Such a missed opportunity.

As others expected it seems to be an evolution of previous graphics just bigger, not really much change, even the straps are laid out the same but now use the new font.

The music is a change, but it’s still very light and doesn’t really go anywhere, IMO.

They seem to have got rid of the Westminster background for a graphic inspired by the Northern Lights it appears.

I wondered if they’d return a voiceover to the toth, but nope, a simple title card and the programme fizzles on.

In a word... #underwhelmed
