This is sentence case as used on Sky News/BBC and in written media/print. Notice use of capital letters at sentence beginning and proper nouns. It's also the norm.

Time for a random bit of Sunday morning thinking following a viewing of the election coverage.

We’ve talked in the past about how the glass box doesn’t fully utilise all angles - because there’s not a lot going on in the background, and how a ticker or screens outside the box could add something; my thoughts are could they use the virtual graphics that they used with the 2019 Election and last year’s American Election to add components (for example a screen above the stairs), or is it something that requires a lot of kit and extra man power to generate?

Yes. Requires a lot of extra kit, cameras would need to have tracking marker technology, etc. Would almost certainly need additional staffing for at least the introduction. And lighting would need to be improved as well if it was to be used after sunset.
Personally I’m not sure what benefit this would give. They already have a big video wall, why do they need a virtual one?

Without going into specifics about individuals, I wonder if there is a drive to beef up weekend coverage in response to GBN? Sky News can be a bit dry at the weekend and that may be the time that GBN could make inroads.

The same thing happened with Gillian on Friday morning. Presumably it’s the default back-up option if the app/website scroll thing fails to sync and load?

As mentioned by others a couple of pages back, Adam Boulton is just covering Nick Quraishi’s usual shifts this weekend. Nick is having a couple of days off work.
People are usually allowed holiday time in jobs and it’s highly unlikely to have been determined by anything to do with another company’s plans.

By the way, John - one of the Asda checkout workers in Southampton - wasn’t at work on Friday and was covered by someone who has worked there a lot longer. I wondered if that was related to an upcoming business strategy of Lidl.

So you don’t think Sky News will do anything in response to GBN? You’re deliberately misinterpreting the point I was making.

But what is Sky likely to change? I'm not sure that they would see GB News to be such a big threat. Sky, BBC, etc, are so much more established and trusted, with bigger budgets too.

I think this is a little harsh - I would argue Adam who usually presents a daily political programme doing a weekend general shift is within rules of being a little odd. And the perfectly reasonable suggestion that Sky could be perhaps using someone higher profile up against what I think maybe be Alastair Stewart’s shift on GB News. Trying to ‘beef up’ or strength the weekend schedule wouldn’t be out the question.

As it happens, Barry Weir is doing the 2-5 shift today (and yesterday) - who I don’t recall seeing much if at all except the a few overnight appearances - I guess it may just be holidays and a few regular weekend faces being away. I’m not sure weekends 10am-2pm is exclusively Nick Quraishi’s in any case, as you claim that to be the case.

I’m all for not delving into personal lives, but I’m really not sure that was the point in this case. In fact quoting newsreaders Twitter conversations may be more so. Although I accept it’s a public platform.
