Have to admit it’s hugely grown on me. Still not sold on the straps but everything else is brilliantly slick. The music is great, and I love the variation in design over the day.

Anything is better then the previous look, that was really the lowest point in sky news presentation history. That ticker is huge though it’s worser then the BBCs, it’s like someone set the font size to 120%.

That sort of music (which itself is based partly on a Sky Sports Scottish Football backing track) is best done as building up to something like an exit poll, election being declared etc. It would soon get tiresome if it was used all the time.
Just like the old decision time music. The reason it was so effective was that it wasn't there every day, it was used so signify a major event that only happened so often.
You need to remember this is a news channel.

Seems somebody tried to play both the News at Ten variation of the music as well as the main one just at TOTH.
Sounded very weird.
I’m sure they could’ve gone for the Election theme, had they wanted! They’ve taken the existing music and given it a freshen up.
The team have done a fantastic job in taking the previous look forward and making it relevant for 2021.
Remember all of this has been achieved during numerous lockdowns + restrictions at Sky. Phenomenal achievement in my opinion.
It’s an improvement over the last look but it’s not the brash and very over the top sky news as I remember it when I first subscribed to sky back in 1994, Sky has changed too much from those young fearless days.
Back then you’d switch on Sky let’s say Sky Sports put the premier league football on it had those wonderful themes, build up was amazing hell they even had a referees caption and the whistle blow sound would sound out
that was never done on bbc or itv, it was unique… in short sky was an experience different to everything else now it’s just like any other news channel.
The International weather filler has now adapted the new music and it is just marvellous with the globe sting before. A piece of Sky News' best era is BACK . Just love it !

Interesting how dramatically different tastes can be, I think this Brexit election theme was the weakest I have ever heard on Sky News, characterless and flat with no deep an clear instrumentals and not fitting for the purpose I think. I really liked the US election theme. As for the new current Sky News theme I can only say this is really what I was waiting for!

Which is the way it should be, it's a news channel, not a graphic design or dramatic music competition.
