Slightly embarrassing… I’ve spoke before at how odd it is that Sky News don’t keep their programme guide updated.

So after all the drama about Kay not being able to continue working and covering COVID19 after her #Partygate, she's doing quite fine during this Boris #Partygate and she has no problem asking questions, getting answers and doing her thing.

Arguably she has an advantage in that she can respond to any snarky politician who references her own stupidity with a very simple response:

"I held my hands up, I said sorry, I served my punishment - why do you think that shouldn't apply to you?"

IN a similar vein, Beth Rigby has just annihilated Boris Johnson in a pooled interview.

She said in the interview that she was asking questions requested by the broadcasters. Do the pool members get to submit a list of questions for the pool interviewer to ask?

Also are the interviewer encouraged not to interrupt the PM (or whoever is being interviewed) so that its easier to use on clips without the interviewer being known? Johnson kept saying "Beth" during the interview so wouldn't' have worked in this case anyway.

I can easily imagine that the Prime Minister was biting his lip somewhat in that video... with phrases such as "that's rich coming from you", and "you're one to talk".

Everyone has pretty much something that could be seen to be wrong in their past. That said, the reort to that kind of comment would probably be "I did my time, I served my punishment... what about you?"

I noticed that this morning Niall had a slightly different studio interview setup versus what Kay had yesterday.

It's very 'naughty schoolboy in the headteacher's office' isn't it - more so the way Niall is still behind the desk. Kay's position is more 'look I know you've been bad, but tell me why...'

It's all such an awkward set up, the angles, the seating, positioning, just odd.

Also noticed that when Kay is presenting, she has a red seat for when she's sat the desk which matches the sofa, whilst Niall just has the standard Sky News presenter chair that is used for the other Millbank programmes

Very odd. The desk/sofa combo worked much better on Sunrise, back in Eamonn's day...
