Haaa, it mainly talks about the wider Select branding rather than the blocks themselves so you're probably right there!

I could see this animation style being used for the rest of the BBC. I can imagine it on BBC One now.

This is the direction and flair I want to see applied consistently, across all outlets.

BBC One junctions currently belong in a museum.

It's not too dissimilar to how the BBC3 logo animates.

Me too! I couldn’t agree with you more. The motion in that animation is exactly what the BBC needs to transfer across all of its branding to help it become contemporary and one that resonates with a younger generation.

Hmmm … surely I am not the only one that feels as if this looks more like some generic tech company , than a brand meant to represent the British people ? ?

I suppose they are going for the fluid motion that’s seen on trendy websites and apps. It looks better than the PowerPointy BBC One presentation, but that’s not a particularly high bar!

As we know thanks to Clean Feed this has been appearing very slowly the past year worldwide so a possible overnight UK rebrand as alluded to seems odd to me! (not that I don't believe it) Remember the corner square logos of the early 00s was very staggered.

At least it ( hopefully ) will clear away the Oneness ( which had everyone disunited unlike the apparent “ point “ of it )

Looking at it again, I actually prefer the letter C in the new version. The old one seemed very wide compared to the two B's

Actually I think it's a shame that Oneness and the new logo won't overlap. They'd go together incredibly well, very similar vibes.
