These just sounds like new updated Oneness idents?? The fact that they involve people, rather than some kind of computer generated imagery or symbol, doesn't sound too good. Unless they are in the background to the idents and there is some kind of bold, brash symbol/logo forefront and centre that the crowd can interact with, like the current Channel 4 idents - not just an overlay like the ITV idents from 2013. However, I can't help feeling people-orientated idents aren't the way to go....they always seem to be a bit boring.

The last few BBC One ident sets have all been live action ever since Balloon, this is nothing new. Sure, you can hire people to form the basis of what you're producing but if they can mix in live action with CG that would be great.
There's no way they're putting Oneness in, that's been utterly tarnished with the 2017 set, this is a full reset

TBH, I'm expecting a return of the Globe, where it appears in various locations across the UK - in a spiritual successor of the 1997-2002 Balloon idents, similar to how the 2018 BBC Two idents were a somewhat spiritual successor to the 1991-2001/2014-18 idents.

I really hope we have something like the circles but it would be even better to have the balloon idents and not just a rejig of oneness. I really want this to be a big rebrand because the BBC needs it. But I am not holding my breath.

Remember the globe was dropped for not being inclusive enough. It might upset flat earthers.

I have always prepared for the absolute worst
I'm not obviously expecting nothing nostalgic, as that would be counterproductive, especially from the BBC.
But it should be fine!
The main issue for BBC ones presentation is the lack of iconic focus!
Look at BBC two and the iconic number 2 and how the new presentation package uses this to bring some of the best idents on tv.
Channel 4 had a great ident set when random scene made up the iconic 4 again a ficus point.
Itv now has best idents it's had all down to simple iconic focus the actual logo.
BBC one having the globe as iconic focus helped the balloon idents become one of the best idents packages it had.
(But) they did spoil the balloon idents later on by adding people into the idents like market scenes and skateboarders pushing the balloon into the background. The earlier set of balloon idents where the best!
BBC one has a habit of having good idents then cutting them shorter spoiling the overall impact.
Then lack of iconic focus started the rot...dancers...oneness...no real main focus just utter forgettable randomness!!!!
The circle idents did work at first but the longer versions where the best ! They cut them down far to much and it spoilt the effect badly!
Any new idents won't be any good as BBC casting for people again so sounds like more oneness in new settings no return of the globe or any iconic ffocus
All I’m going to say is keep your eyes peeled… you will be pleasantly surprised.
