I caught the BBC One interruption. The presenter kept her cool, the pressure on them must be extreme. Sad news.

R.I.P Prince Philip

A conscious decision I believe, due to the pandemic.

Thought they would've known better...

Channel4 interrupted around 27mins past the hour and went live to Channel 4 news.
Looks like they went to a scheduled ad break at 12:31 and joined Channel 4 News with a black C4 blocks slide.

I remember they didn’t do much when Diana died. I switched on C4 after I got up that morning and was oblivious to the news for a few minutes until I put Teletext on.

I think it appeared post-Reith rebrand (and was in the old style).

I do really like the ITV News graphics onscreen, and I think they have gone for a slightly darker CSO background for behind Lucrezia
This is very sad news. He had 2 months to go before he turned 100. May he rest in peace.

If not fully cleared, heavily changed but I reckon the former of the two.

I certainly reckon that HIGNFY will be dropped.

Channel 4's late to the mourning but they do have a special Channel 4 News programme lined up this afternoon.
No doubt they'll cover this later on tonight at 7
The BBC iPlayer has got a special banner on the homepage, informing people that the BBC has suspended the normal schedule
ITV schedule has just been updated with special news coverage continuing until 6.30pm tonight, no local news and the Evening News taking over at 6.30pm.
ITV has blanket updated the EPG with coverage through until 18:30
It seems like the Magic stations are sharing music - quite sombre so I suspect this is their way
Sky News have some really classy and sombre graphics:
