It only appears occasionally, but I'm not sure about the banner on CBeebies. Given the very young age of the audience, I think it makes sense to keep the output completely isolated from anything that's happening in the news.

It certainly shows how different each station's audio processing is, as all BBC stations are taking the same programme

It sounds like the radio bulletin was a clock start at 12:10 with every station crashing into it then. Listening around to the local stations on BBC Sounds some had a cleaner transition than others - some had their last track as a fairly sombre song and at least one handed over to the newsroom.
They should get some warning as to what's coming but of course it might not be much warning so it depends how on the ball the production team are.
The local stations are forced to crash into the coverage at the set time and then they're are locked out of doing anything else until the coverage is over
the rendition of the national anthem on itv news sounded like it's being played out from Sega Megadrive.
The first few moments on ITV seem far less polished, will be interesting to learn in time just how much time they had to prepare, and whether there was an embargo at all or Buckingham Palace just announced it.

I agree, it seems a bit generic. I can only presume it is intended to get the attention of parents watching with their children, or who glance at the TV every so often whilst doing so.
ITV2 are showing this and the end of each ad break.
Surely they can’t just have rolling news on all the BBC channels, I think the football being live means it’s unlikely to be cancelled so I could see BBC Four airing its normal schedule.

Just watching the BBC break the news at 12.05. Martine Croxall clearly shaken by the news but did a superb job - and a little bit of emotion did no harm at all. A black cardigan quickly added to her outfit after she broke the news too. Notice Huw hasn't gone for a crimson tie, but a full on purple tie and suit combo.
Yup. Broadcast TV is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Everything about the way it was broken and handled on every station suggests they found out the same time as the announcement at 12pm.

I'm not overly familar with the C5 slides but I did think it looked like the old branding. Odd they've blocked it from +1.
Seems ITV and Sky are now streaming around the world.
