Will stv also be using it as they and itv border Scotland do have specials. As well as wales have their own specials as well so there will be an interesting set up in Cardiff as well. But Scotland may well be where the story is thus why Tom Brady is in Edinburgh at stv tonight
The sound is a bit off, do we think it’s because they’re outside? The picture quality isn’t amazing either.
Really showing up the difference crossing to Peston in his studio on ITV HD.
Nice set but once again they’re out in the elements so both Tom and Peter look freezing wearing just suits.

I do wonder why news programmes insist of having their presenters in the cold rather than a nice warm studio.

Guess it'll only be used for the bulletins - don't think ITV itself has any network wide election programming.
No, STV and ITV Wales have election programming, nothing for the English regions - can't remember if UTV are doing anything (does NI even have these local elections?)
I Have recorded the Full ITV News at TEN Bulletin tonight, if anyone hasn't seen the Edinburgh set, it will be on yt very soon

ITV News Favourites.

Its just lit up with lights
I'm watching on ITV+1. Is it just me or does Tom Bradby sound like he's on the telephone or a particularly dodgy video call?
Must say that desk looks really nice.

yeh it was quite annoying
Isn't the set indoors - you can see frames of windows in the wide shot.

Not sure dodgy call, but it's almost as if he's struggling to make himself heard. Wonder if someone was talking in his earpiece and not being particuarly helpful?

Well to me, he (and Peter) sounded rather quiet (compared to reports, OB and even how it normally sounds) and there was a few times the microphone sounded to be peaking in some form.

I was only talking about the first few minutes. Further in to the video (about 14:00) I can definitely hear background noise that sounds like a dodgy microphone, and I agree that Peter certainly sounds quiet.
On a lighter note, Tom using his glasses to stop his papers flying away amused me.

There are no elections in Northern Ireland, the one place in the UK that doesn't have any.
It used to be, when the regions were a proper going concern, that outside of the news bulletins the local election coverage was left to the individual regions to cover. I think the only time they did a full networked local elections programme was in 1996, as a rehearsal for the following year.
