I hope any changes don't see a return to standing up presentation or any other gimmicks. I think the functional 'style' ITV have works and is one of the strongest elements of the current look, so hopefully that remains in the future.

Only in this context is standing up a gimmick.
Indeed arguably not standing up is now their gimmick as I think they're the only UK news broadcaster that generally speaking has no standing presentation, even if just at the beginning of the programme.
Indeed perhaps it's not whether Mary sits or stands we need to worry about - it's what she sits on. In an effort to go head to head with the One Show could they bring in what is often seen as the nemisis to all serious journalism - a sofa!

Not unusual for different graphics on social media videos - happens with BBC and C4 News as well, mainly because they insist on needlessly cropping them to squareovision.
Effectively two editions of News at Ten tonight then with a new coming up sequence at 10pm. A new set of reports, so it flows as one episode, but also sufficient content for those watching from 10pm only.
A really short Evening News bulletin tonight with a full ad break and then the bulletin ending at 6.50pm for the appeal (which on the EPG was scheduled for 6.57pm), meaning effectively only 4 reports and a round up of other war related news. I still find it quite odd that despite the increase to an hour next week for big stories in the run up to that happening it's remained restricted to half an hour. Football complicating things this week but with 45 minute build ups you'd think there would be the option to add 15 minutes back to the Evening News.
It's been confirmed that viewers in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland will see only half an hour of the ITV Evening News on Fridays when the new schedule launches next week.
The 7pm slot will be for local programming

Very sad and emotional report on ITV News by Romily Weeks on the death of an 18 month child.
The ITV Weekend News specials over the last two weekends between 7 and 9:30 have been very well put together and emotional as well.
I know this has been done because of the terrible events in Ukraine but I do think it would be good for a weekend News programme on ITV going forward.

They've also been aired on social media. I'm aware that YouTube and TikTok have both carried these special programmes on their platforms.
Inevitably this is going to bring up the oft-repeated idea of weekend editions of Good Morning Britain, and whether a 5 minute summary at 8.25am is going to be enough going forward.
I get the feeling that maybe the morning bulletin will be extended on a regular basis. Maybe being followed by a special Sunday morning programme on Sundays only. I can't see them doing much more than that. But I would love to be proved wrong.
